  • First of 3 bottles bought at auction. Cork was perfect, deep red color with very slight bricking, but didn’t feel like a 25 yr old wine at all. I don’t have the vocabulary to describe the nose, cherries is the best i can come up with, but i liked it! Good fruit on the palate - chocolate covered cherries for the finish. No rush here.

  • Purchased from auction last year. Double decanted because I was taking it to dinner with friends. Used an ah-so to pull the cork which was in very good shape.

Color was almost opaque with lightening at the edges. Nice clean color as opposed to looking cloudy. Pretty nose of red fruit, baking spices, and leather. Palate is silky if not velvety with resolves tannins. There is a bit of sweet cherry notes on the finish. Delicious bottle.

  • An absolutely glorious, fully mature bottle of Brunello. Aromas of sottobosco, truffle, dried cherries, figs, leather, and animal fur exploded from the glass. Medium-full bodied, with fully-resolved tannins and a gorgeous texture continuing to a very, very long finish. In short, this is why one ages wine. I may be a little harsh with "only" rating it 96 points. Unfortunately my last bottle, but it couldn't have been opened at a more perfect moment. Drink up.

  • Brief note on my last bottle shared amongst friends while on a golf trip. In very good shape at the 24 year mark. Red cherry, balanced, resolved tannins.

  • Final bottle of 3 purchased at the winery back in 2004. Cork crumbled when opening, but fill was still into the neck. This bottle has seen a lot in the last 23 years. A flight back home, 4 moves into new homes, marriages, divorces, birth of children and passing of parents. It has quite the story try tell. This is opaque maroon/brown with orange on the rim. Aged notes of raisins, leather and stone. This is def past it's prime, but I think it aged well. There's still some acidity and tannins here, so this isn't flabby at all. But this is more port-like than anything.
