Deep inky color. Blackberry, blueberry, oak and a some earthy, mossy overtones with some eucalyptus and saddle leather on the finish. Medium bodied with a long lingering finish. Found this to be a bit hot upon opening but the imbalance was gone the next day and was delicious. Nice tannins so this has plenty of life left.

Sell: 2005 High-Alcohol (15% and Up) California Cabernets I own quite a few of these, because we had a 2005-vintage baby, but sadly they won't make it to her 21st birthday. Wines from '05 that kept their alcohol in check, however, should do just fine. Forbes, April 30, 2018

Several hour decant of a 1.5 liter. Nose of blackberries and crushed granite. Well structured with plenty of backbone, but not harsh or heated. Dark fruit flavors were in harmony with oak, tanned leather and herbal tones. Finish was lengthy and pleasant.
