A toast to my parents! I inherited this bottle of Zin from my parent's cellar. He obviously allowed it to go past it's prime. The wine shows a leathery ruby color which I"ve found from his other wines is indicative of an older bottle. There was an immediate nose of cherry from the glass. With my initial taste, I found this wine to taste of peppery cherries that is over taken by the acidity. I do believe that this wine would have been a pretty good Zin in it's prime. None the less...here's to you, Dad and Mom!

PINK ON THE EDGE. DEEP DRIED FRUIT AND SPICE IN THE NOSE, AND A FLAVOR TO MATCH. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.
