An aromatic masterpiece with intense spice, dried florals and stem treble notes accompanied by baritone red cherries. Delightful, bright medium weight palate with plenty of freshness and complexity.

Tasted blind, this wine had a medium red center ad light puce rims. The medium intensity nose put forth rhubarb, plum, tan spices, and mineral notes.
This medium intensity wine had a super silky texture with rounded tannin, solid acidity, and very nice length. While not super extracted, it still was attractively plush.
This wine appeared to be at its peak and it should last at this level for about a decade.

Last of my 89 Dujac bottles and it was likely just past it’s prime. Still had a beautiful nose, but the wine is a bit thin now, the fruit is still there but starting to fade and the tannins are fully resolved, so it has a very smooth but also slightly shorter finish than previous bottles. Would recommend drinking up, if you have any left.

Spectacular nose on this bottle. Dujac spice readily apparent but more intense that other bottles of '89 I have had. Good ripe red fruit on the palate, with a slightly muddled and round flavor palate.

Bold but cool dark red fruit. Expressive but compact spice by Dujac CDR standards. Good bottle of the '89.
