This speaks the vintage quite a bit. Sweet and candied strawberry fruit, wilted rose petals, five spice, and that classic touch of 2003 prunes. The same kinda of prunes which I also picked up in the 03 RSV from DRC last year. Plenty of tertiary development in the form of earth and mushroom, which you might also call rustic. There is both power and elegance here and although this hails from a heatwave vintage, there is balance and harmony which you only get from the best of producers. The bouquet is excellent and the wine is wide open, I'd say drink now and hold no more.

This bottle is now drinking very well, wonderful with our Sunday roast. Dujac nose, floral and great body and very long finish. It is big for a Dujac, but now rounded and delicious.

Thick, rich, ripe, almost purple in color. Unlike any Dujac I’ve ever had. Impeccably made for a very hot year in Burgundy but this is like a top notch new world Pinot, not a grand cru from one of the great Burgundy domaines.

Beautiful aromatics with stems, strawberries and spice. Palate is ripe and candied with moderate acidity. Good effort for a ripe vintage but it should be consumed sooner than later.

This has some bricking eating into the wine, medium body, the nose leaps from the glass straight from opening and is mainly red fruit, slightly baked strawberries, some warm spiced cinnamon also blood orange, the palate is quite fresh for the vintage, red fruit, some earth and forest floor, a touch of heat appears on the long finish, this is a lovely wine but still of the vintage
