(Coche-Dury Meursault) The quality on this amazing for just a "village" wine. But this is no ordinary producer. Expressive nose of wintergreen mint, smokey oak, spicey pear, hazelnuts and earth. Beautifully constructed palate that has no hard edges. Everything is harmonious. Long finish. Is this Grand Cru quality?

Best bottle of 2000 Coche Meursault and it is still on its way up. You get all the Coche sensation with precise acidity. This has a long life ahead. 93++

nose was pretty muted and disappointing - with none of that classic huge toasty nose of a Coche-Dury. I've had a number of bottles from the same case, and this must have been just bottle variation. Nice on the palate, though, with a long finish, good ripeness as well as crisp acidity.
