  Coche gunflint, hazelnut, and smoked fruit. It shows the vintage ripeness but the acidity is more than enough to offset it. Very good density on the palate. Benchmark Coche village. 93-94

  Burgundy best of village blind (La Trompette (London)): More nutty and mature compared to the 12 & 13. This didn't get so much love with the group but I found it wonderful. Guessed Meursault blind (maybe Comte Lafon Clos Barre 2002?). Nicely mature and would be pulling corks.

  During a Paulee dinner, so only brief impressions. Great wine also here after a stellar Perrieres. Minerals, lemon, cut hay. How does Coche do it?

  Tasted blind – A compacted reduction underneath a layer of saturated orchard fruits, maturing apples, ripe apricots, and mild undergrowth. Brilliant complexity with a slight glycerol-y broad texture on the palate. 1er Cru weight. Reminded me of a Leflaive 1998 I opened recently. Puligny Montrachet, Leflaive, Les Pucelles, 1998? (92/100)
