Nose: gunflint, coconut, white flower, honey, lemon custard, pear Notes: opened for 2 hours before drinking, quite a sunny and warm nose. Despite some hints of typical Coche aroma I find the palate of this wine outperforming the nose of it. The wine has quite some freshness in it and shows improvements over time. Towards the end after 3 hours of opening it's showing very well but I still feel that in this case the nose doesn't catch up with the palate in this occasion. A couple more years would be better for this wine to develop. Drink: 2028+ Rating: 91

Sushi Katori: Bouquet showing waves of popcorn, starfruit, wax, flint and hazelnuts with fruit persistence and minerality on the palate. There is fantastic fruit concentration here but one gets the sense we committed infanticide. With time in decanter and in glass, white peaches and snow pears emerge fleetingly before shutting down and turning a touch too acidic. There is surely immense potential, both depth and flavour complexity, that age will surely bring someday.
Meant to go in a blind against the PYCM but the PYCM was too atypical that it was an easy guess that this was the Coche.

blind Great village wine, you don't need not more a perfect example of Burgundy terroir and in kind of reduction. Not too much. Well balanced, maybe a hint to young. 96

Lovely to drink. Reductive but not exaggerated. Great length with a pure clean finish. I don't need something from Burgundy. 95
