We all brought some wines.
The host prepared a dinner with the first 13 wines.
After that came the afterparty with another 18 wines.
All wines were tasted blind.
Hope this was an off bottle ; it was so disappointing that I did not bother to make notes or score it. So this is just for the record and to see if my last bottle offers the same experience.

As last years note. Bananas and asparagus. Mild and soft. Just very little noticeable acidity.

Beautiful wine with a good dose of oak, soft apples, banana. Complex and elegant. Beautiful drinking now.

Expressive bouquet of flowers. Soft citrus and impressions of yellow tropical fruits. Good complexity.

This is a textbook example of a white Pessac/Leognan. The oak is still somewhat dominating, but this is definitely an excellent wine. At this moment possibly still a bit too young, because it should show more complexity.

Buttery and easy going wine with tropical flavors and some bitterness in the finish. Not overly complex.

A lot of butter (from the oak), soft citrus. Vegetables. A bit strange wine. Not a textbook Chablis because I miss the minerals. Maybe this is an off bottle. Nevertheless the score is not too bad.

A lot of bitterness from the oak and very mild acidity. This is not what you would expect to come from France. All in all the wine is ok, but not special.

A really nice and elegant gewürztraminer of good complexity. Much more refined than many other gewürztraminers from Alsace. There is some pleasant sweetness, but not too much.

Good sweetness with a lot of apricots, banana and tangerine. There is some acidity behind it all, which makes this a very nice wine.

No formal notes, just a score.

Loaded with apricots, honey and polishing wax. Very full bodied, but also elegant. A great wine with a long future. Might gain with ageing.

Rustic and a bit dusty wine. A lot of firm bitterness and acidity. A bit drying in the finish. Medium bodied. Not waiting much longer might be the best option.

A lot of chocolate, licorice, and bitterness. Full bodied and good acidity. Firm tannin which promises several years more. And the best part is that there is elegance as well.

Two years after my previous note the wine is still much too young. The dark chocolate is still prominent. This enormously concentrated wine can use at least another 2 - 3 years of cellaring.

Beautiful and elegant bouquet. Creamy and buttery. Fresh acidity. This is a very elegant style syrah I can really appreciate.

Beautiful. Full bodied and elegant. A lot of good acidity and spiciness. On the other hand the (American?) oak and candy tastes make the wine a little less interesting. The wine needs more time to get things integrated. Nevertheless a great score already.

Chocolate and dark fruits in the bouquet as well as the taste. Very ripe fruits. Very juicy. Easy going acidity. A great pleasure to drink.

Spiciness, good juice, dark fruits and a little bit of barnyard to make it all complete. This time I scored the wine 90. Really a treat for the price.

Complex and elegant bouquet with herbs, chocolate and some tobacco. Red and black fruits. Good juice. A little sweetness. Soft but firm tannin and a good dose of bitterness. Definitely has a future of several years. Good qpr!

Beautiful refined and complex bouquet with herbs and spices and pleasant barnyard. Good juice of mainly red fruits. Firm but soft bitterness. Very well balanced and with a long finish. Great wine. Already in a nice drinking stage.

At first the bouquet was somewhat locked with a touch of barnyard. Later it opened up; elegant and slightly mature. A sweet start on the palate, smoky, red fruits, herbs. Not extremely full bodied. Elegant style syrah. In the taste slightly mature as well. Given some air it offers very nice drinking now.

Mature bouquet with a little barnyard and some sweetness. Same in the taste as well as spiciness. Full bodied wine which still has good tannin for some more years. A treat!

Barnyard and good spices in the bouquet. Very juicy with good sweetness and acidity. Supple, soft and mature and elegant. Beautiful and complex wine, ready now, but no real hurry.

Little barnyard, spices and very juicy. Soft tannin and some pleasant bitterness. Long finish. The wine is in the beginning of its maturity stage.

Soft chocolate and ripe black currant juice. A lot of sweetness. Well integrated oak. A very tempting wine. Beautiful drinking now, but no hurry.

A lot of everything! Enormously concentrated. Ripe red as well as black fruits. Coffee, bacon etc. And behind of this there is elegance as well. But it is still so young. Although I will probably not manage, next bottle at least 5 years from now. The score can only go up.

Enormously juicy ripe black fruits. Spicy, soft tannin and bitterness. Sweetness and acidity in beautiful harmony. This is great stuff.

Full bodied and concentrated lush wine. Ripe black fruits. Spicy and soft. Very well balanced. Another 2007 C9 success.

Rich, lush, graceful. This is so complete. Concentrated and refined. Very juicy, perfect balance. No words for it.
