5/24/2024 - VDLT Wine Likes this wine: NRVery intriguing - at times, it seemed like a barrel fermented ale. Complex, exotic and textured like resin (in a good way). Food friendly and provocative. |

3/5/2024 - TannicBeast Likes this wine: 90 pointsItalian Wine Scholar Class @ The Texas Wine School. Textbook natty, it split the class among generational lines. Organic, biodynamic, unfiltered, unfined, 75% Merlot & 25% Pignolo, w/ wild yeasts & no added sulphites. Cloudy ruby. A touch of Brett gives way to pronounced volatile acidity & ethyl acetate (nail polish remover). After lots of air, it segues into candied red cherry, spiced cranberry, bruised red apple cider and weed. Dry to off-dry, w/ ripe, juicy candied red fruit. A slight sparkle on the tongue & searingly high acidity to balance the fruit. Med (-) tannins & med alcohol (13%). Medium bodied, w/ med flavor intensity & sweet & sour, balsamic, savory finish. An acid trip in a glass. Drink now, not intended for aging, although better a week after opening. |

3/5/2024 - TannicBeast Likes this wine: 91 pointsItalian Wine Scholar Class @ The Texas Wine School. 80% Chardonnay & 20% Friulano spend 8-10 days on the skins. Organic, unfined, unfiltered. Cloudy, med (+) orange w/ an amber hue. Volatile acidity and Brett eventually dissipate leaving stone fruit, ripe citrus and aromatic herbs. Benefits from air. Pronounced, complex nose of dried apricot, persimmon, orange marmalade, guava, bitter herbs & sweet spices. Dry, but quite fruit-forward, w/ med (+) to high acidity, med tannins and med (+) alcohol (13.5%). Appears full-bodied, with med (+) to pronounced intensity and a mouthwatering sweet & sour and slightly bitter citrus and stone fruit finish. Drink sooner rather than later, with a decant. |

3/4/2024 - Lyubomir Lefterov Likes this wine: 95 pointsDark amber colour, decanted for 30 min, a touch of cloudy 'deposit' on the bottom. Opened up within half an hour. it is complex and layered, intense, with nutty, oxidative nose, mostly reminding me of dry sherry. In the mouth sits rounded and savoury. 1000ml bottle, 12.5% alc, recommended serving temp 15°C. |

2/8/2024 - Asull2k Likes this wine: 90 pointsPnP a portion and Vacuvin’d the rest, and it opened quite fast on all days. Medium to deep amber color. Dried apricot and a little orange peel on the nose. Orange rind, yeast, melon, with decent acidity on the palate and 30-35 sec finish. Pairs well with most foods including chicken pasta, Tuscan chicken, even Thai food. |

2/1/2024 - HandmadeHomemade Likes this wine: NRPours a medium tawny in the glass. Pronounced, developing aromas of bruised apple, quince, ripe almond/marzipan, savoury, marmalade, dried pineapple, apricot, pear, and citrus as well (dried fruit salad, anyone?), some vegetal funk that blew off by day three, becoming more and more open knit as the days went on. Aroma matched the palate, dry wine, high acid, med tannin, med + body (loads of acid keep it fresh), med alcohol, pronounced palate intensity, long finish. Overall, outstanding, can drink now, but has the potential for aging. Preferred on day three. |

At some point in evolution the palate screams strawberries. A true delight at peak maturity from correct storage. Better warm weather bottle and also with food likely.. |

12/30/2020 - Putnam Weekley Likes this wine: NROne whiff and it’s easy to see why this was released after the 2014 (tasted together). It’s jammy, and tussling with rancio conditioning. Big, thick bouquet of cigar. Plum, apricot, marzipan. A mouthful, too, is significantly different when compared to the 2014. The tannins are similarly articulate and seasoned, but they bear a greater force of weighty fruit and deliriously charming fruit-skin acid. Back to the nose. Oh my! Kirsch. Butter fruit crust from a pan. Spacious, pagan interiors festooned with woodland objects: truffles, pine cones, grilled lemons. |

12/30/2020 - Putnam Weekley Likes this wine: NRIt’s impossible to inhale this aroma and not laugh a little. Familiar and strange, like worn shoes on mushrooms. Adjusting comes in stages. First, an involuntary series of images: apricots and pepper; aged St. Estephe; no wait, Pinot Fin. Gorgeous layers of paint made from fallen orchard fruit. What fruits? All of them, from figs to apples, from peaches to almonds. Rigid blooms of culinary whip-grass, chocolate. A salted bronze glaze of rapidly moving botanical treasure. A mouthful is resin tannic and draws into itself gestures of sunset fruit while leaving dusty streaks of milled poppy, cask, found seeds, roots and aromatic tree bark. Back to the nose: black cherry, one airborne droplet of grapefruit zest, walnuts and ash. |

1/5/2024 - Ernestas Likes this wine: 92 pointsFinally my first glimpse in one of the most renowned Gods of natural wine. Low intervention, no sulfites added, unfined & unfiltered. 3 months with skin contact, aged for 36 months in large oak casks. Medium amber, slightly hazy. Medium+ intensity aroma of bruised apples, cinnamon, honeyed dried dandelions, dried orange peel, incense, old furniture, vax. Medium+ body, juicy, pleasantly tangy structured, flavours of bruised apples, dried peaches, herbs, orange peel, medium fine sandy tannins, high chewy acidity. |
