Lovely botttle opened new years eve. Richness and elegance, as AG said, lemon, white flowers and orchard fruit. Disapeered quickly.

Perfect aged Hermitage from magnum. All the right notes. In the zone. Unlike better BDX from this era, the corks are starting to be soaked about 1/3rd. So enjoy over the next decade.

Same feeling as the previous poster. Not great, not terrible. Eminently drinkable burgundy. The mild green notes, while not overwhelming, endow this wine and most of the 2011 burgundy bottles I have opened with a simple mediocrity. Glad I don't own many from that year.

Classic Elegant Volnay. In line with other notes. Slight browning. Lovely drinking first night. Saw a bit of a fade and slight sherry notes after I left 1/3 in the bottle overnight in the wine fridge.

First of a case. Drank over 4 nights. Actually 3 as third night did not sample. In line with the previous reviews. Well packed with flavors. Young. Stayed that way over 4 days. As one who leans towards wine with age, I am looking forward to opening the rest of the bottles starting in a decade.

Still pretty tight. Dark red fruits. As described by other tasters. Some vanilla. Feels like the expensive French brother of a Walter Scott Oregon Pinot Noir. Not yet magic. Will hold other two bottles.

Young. Tasty, mountain red berry, sharp acidity, and fine tannins. Elegance and lightness. Good potential to improve with age.
My view is that artisanal Oregon Pinot Noir made with stems is best with a decade-plus. This bottle is just in the John Thomas minimum of 8 years past harvest.

Opened a 2005 Arterberry Maresh, Maresh Vineyard. Jim Maresh’s first commercial vintage. Superb. Everything I would wish for in a Oregon Pinot Noir. Bit of funk that quickly blew off.

Silky complex dark mountain cherry, spice, long complex finish. Mid life, with many years to go.

According to Jim. “A favorite of mine for its silky complex fruit. Picked October 23rd very minimal punch downs”

Sadly I only have two more bottles.

Drank from well-stored magnums. Open an hour before and a quick decant before pouring—the nose of cherries, pomegranate, fresh herbs, and spices. A full full-bodied, and complex finish goes exceptionally well with hipster Chinese food from Red Farm in NYC. Excellent!
