5/20/2023 1:15:00 AM - Grüsse aus Österreich! Wir haben beide einen ähnlichen Geschmack!
5/6/2023 12:05:00 PM - Hi Paul, Seems like we have similar tastes (for the most part....I still enjoy some young high octane CA wines periodically). If you even find yourself in the Twin Cities (Minnesota), let me know! Always looking for an excuse to open wine!
4/23/2023 6:21:00 AM - Hi Paul, thanks for becoming a fan, and for the ability to browse your remarkable cellar. It’s an inspiration. Cheers
1/31/2023 1:17:00 AM - Thanks Paulst for becoming a fan!
11/14/2022 10:40:00 PM - Haha Mr Paulst, you are my first 'fan'! Thank you, much appreciated
9/2/2022 1:39:00 AM - Paul, I could be wrong but I'm thinking we drank some wine together at the old Grand Cafe long ago with Brian T & Brad B a while back. We should connect for a local meal & wines along with some of the others in my group. Cheers Craig/chablis28 Prior Lake
9/22/2021 10:34:00 AM - Thanks for being a fan, if you don't mind an old winemaker I have reciprocated
9/22/2021 7:11:00 AM - Mr Paulst, truly impresive cellar not only in quantity, quality but oh my it is also beautiful. thanks for adding me as a fan.
6/13/2021 10:14:00 AM - Wow, you have an impressive cellar. Thanks for making us "mutual fans". We clearly have some very similar wine preferences.
3/5/2021 7:52:00 AM - Thanks PaulSt for being a fan
8/11/2020 9:50:00 PM - Hi, PaulSt! Thanks for being a fan!
12/14/2019 12:13:00 PM - Hi paulst - Thanks for becoming a fan. Wonder what it was about my notes that struck a cord. After reviewing your cellar and some of your TNs, I've become a fan of yours. Not the biggest fan of Bordeaux (50+% of your cellar), but I am sitting on about 10 cases of assorted '05s that I'll begin to crack open next year, and your TNs will be very helpful re: timing. Thanks.
6/14/2019 6:31:00 PM - Nice to meet you Paulst. I am in California. We are downsizing so just moved out of my dream cellar. Kept the wine but now in a facility in Palm Desert. Very traumatic and took a bit of time just moving all of it. Notwithstanding, it made me plan tastings for the next 6 months. Gonna dig into some of those trophies and have some fun! Share your thoughts about French wine (you will love the ‘82 Ducru) but still lean to great burgundies for what I would want if stuck alone on a deserted island! John Robertson
2/12/2019 9:29:00 AM - Hi Paul....finally got my wine room finished, barcoded and up and running. Now my brother and his wife are visiting for 2 weeks. Perhaps we can get together and open a bottle or two when they leave? You can reach me at Mark1pt@aol.com or here, either way.....Mark
1/20/2019 9:48:00 AM - I am from Florida, too, and I enjoy Right Bank red blends and the more meatier Cali cabs and Washington state wines (not PnP) and a few Oregon Pinots. Not a fine of Italians, though PS: Nice wine room! Head to the Wine Watch on Friday afternoon and meet some really cool cork dorks LOL
1/18/2019 10:21:00 AM - PAULST, thanks for the fanning, so to speak! Just curious as to what wine I reviewed that motivated you to do that. All the best. Ozzie
1/11/2019 7:57:00 AM - Paul, we should do that. I've got another good friend here too and we get together often. Will contact you when I get the place all wrapped up in the coming month.
1/11/2019 6:42:00 AM - Nice looking cellar there, pal! I am in the process of wrapping up mine now. Should have everything chillin' by next weekend. Cheers! Mark

5/22/2018 11:45:00 AM - Hi Paulst, thank you for linking up! Beautiful cellar - I store my wines in wine fridges. Lacks the atmosphere of a well-ordered cellar...Cheers, Michael
4/30/2018 6:04:00 PM - Paulist, From your profile, we do share many tastes for lower alcohol reds from around the world. 2016 Bordeaux should be interesting to you, since they have alcohols in the 13-13.5% range. Where are you? Have we met....Emery
1/28/2018 6:32:00 AM - thanks for "fanning" me, Paul. Look forward to sharing notes and maybe a glass or two. Impressive cellar!
11/16/2017 6:47:00 PM - Glad you found a kernel or two in the chaff :) Best, Bob
10/18/2017 8:17:00 PM - Paul, thanks for reaching out, what an honor to have you as a fan! All those years of quaffing glass after glass of wine are finally starting to "bear fruit." I look forward to learning from you.
3/21/2017 10:44:00 PM - Regarding Oregon: I lived in Oregon when it was first starting out (about 7 producers in the Willamette Valley in those days), so have always had a fond spot for that area. Small family wineries in a rural setting, and still that way for many. I prefer European-styled wines, and Oregon is one of the areas in the "New World" that 'gets it' in that regard. There are a number of producers who pick early, going so far as chaptalizing even in a warm year, just to achieve the natural acidities that really add structure and elegance to the wine. Walter Scott, Eyrie, and a few others are worth searching out for those reasons. Happy hunting! aChave
3/19/2017 8:54:00 PM - I share your fandom of Leoville Barton, Gruaud, and Rauzan Segla (esp the older ones). Cheers! P.S. Lived in Daytona Beach/Orlando for some years back in the '80s.
2/5/2017 8:41:00 AM - Hi Paulst, Thank you for becomeing a fan, Im so flattered. I do more drinking than writing but enjoy both so.Your cellar is beautiful, I'm so envious. My preferances lean toward domestic cabs, pinots and zins, along with the wines from Italy, France and Spain. Cheers from CT
1/19/2017 4:39:00 PM - Hey Paulst, thanks for linking up. That's a beautiful cellar you have in your profile pic, love it!
1/7/2017 4:51:00 PM - Paulst, I feel flattered that you have become a fan. I try hard to write interesting reviews, infused with my gut feelings (no pun intended) about the wines I am sampling. There aren't many reviews but they are written with heart. Let me know more about your wine collecting and how you got into it in the first place. Where are you in Florida?
12/14/2016 11:09:00 PM - Hi Paulst! Good to be fans!!! We share all your favs...so many wines, so little time...but we are trying!

11/6/2016 11:19:00 AM - paulst: just got word that you are a fan. I am honored, especially looking at your cellar. I am in a tasting group that meets Fridays, and I get to taste most of my older Bordeaux's there. A member of our group had a 65th birthday recently, and broke out four '86 Bordeaux's, along with an '86 d'Yquem for the dessert course. We drank Leoville las Cases, Rausan-Segla, Mouton-Rothchild and Cos d'Esternel. My wife had been given a bottle of the '86 Mouton by her boss after her team had done well, and she hoped to drink it at her wedding. We forgot, but opened it on our 5th anniversary. My tasting note was limited to "So this is what all the fuss is about." I really couldn't add much more than that. This tasting of the Mouton brought back those memories, both of the occasion and the taste - it was just as good this time, best of the 4, really. Interestingly, the Cos was actually better out of the bottle, but faded quickly from sublime to merely wonderful, whereas the Mouton had plenty of staying power. I have to admit I am jealous of your older Bordeaux holdings. Enjoy. And again, thanks for noticing me.
10/30/2016 9:38:00 PM - Hi Paul. Thank for reaching out. Sounded like a fabulous lineup with the highlight being the Angelus. Please stay in touch. I have a group in the Boston area that does various themed bordeaux tastings a few times a year. Would be great to have you when you are in town.
8/21/2016 9:13:00 PM - I see we have a common predilection for Leoville Barton and older Bordeaux. They are exceptional, for sure. Cheers!
6/8/2016 9:21:00 PM - Love your cellar. Where are you in FL? I have a home in Miami Beach and also NJ. I am in Miami Beach regularly. If you are nearby maybe we can drink some wine. Best, Greg
5/8/2016 3:53:00 AM - Thanks for connecting, great cellar! I am on the east coast of FL (Boca) & would love to meet up if you are ever over here
2/6/2016 6:15:00 AM - Hi there Paulst, thanks for following my notes! As I use to write in German let me know if you are intersted in my opinion of some particular wines, I'll traduce then in English. I realised you own a great cellar and I wish you many happy and relaxing occasions to enjoy your bottles with your beloved! Kind regards from Zurich, Edgar
11/30/2015 10:52:00 PM - Thanks for becoming a 'fan'. Nice cellar! I enjoy the same regions as you and visit FLA quite often. Cheers from Canada!

6/29/2014 2:16:00 PM - Dear Paulst I only have 2 bottles left of the 66 Haut Brion, :( but I did manage to snag 2 bottles of the 94, 75, 78 2001 and 2004 . Plus my drinking buddy has even more :)There is nothing more pleasing than a smooth aged bottle of bordeaux! I have a 82 Ausone as well., just waiting for a good reason to open it. Enjoy your great wines, it puts everything in perpective.
5/9/2014 12:13:00 PM - Thanks for the note KR66. You have a very, very impressive collection. The mature Bordeaux are the best wines in the world. I see you have 13 of the 66 Haut Brion. I will be drinking that for the first time, and a 66 Ausone (also for the first time) with a friend soon. I have determined that mature Bordeaux is the only wine that I will spend serious money on.
