-translucent pale straw-grey nearly colorless -clean rocky almost Chablis-like ocean breeze -med acidity, med- weight linear focused yet retaining a certain softness, mostly saline and mineral with some sappy extract on the finish -interesting balance of just enough acidity to be crisp and enough viscosity to be texturally caressing, has yielded some of the early punch and primary fruit, excellent and drinking very well now

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -med red minimal bricking -expressive warm earth cherry faint mature elements slight funk -med/med- acidity yields a softer mouthfeel, med- weight but sappy depth, sweet earthy cherry, med fine tannins and gentle oak on the moderately long finish -really lovely with typical Serafin aromatics, 1er Cru depth if not complexity, in early maturity with no hurry should hold on the plateau for 3-5 years and still be solid beyond that

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -med dark red, minimal clearing at edge -low key kirsch with some minerality and trace black pepper -med acidity, med weight/depth linear red fruit stoniness, finishes clean with med/med- tannins and no excess heat -lighter weight leaner CdP that has mellowed over the past few years, in a good drinking window now and probably nearing its sweet spot, no hurry but this won't be a 20 year wine

tasted over 2 hrs -translucent pale light yellow-green -mouth-watering aromatics pure Chablis stone funk oyster shell sea water lemon -med/med+ acidity, very sappy med weight powerful mineral-dominant with grapefruit citrus, moderately long finish -regal and powerful elegance rather than flashy but nonetheless quintessential Chablis early in a prime drinking window

Slow-ox 30 minutes, tasted over 1 hr; from 375mL, bottle from secondary market -dark red no bricking -rich dark berry/cherry/plum, oak -med/med- acidity, med weight, relatively simple ripe black cherry/berry without surmaturite some earthy mature elements starting to creep in, med tannins and noticeable oak on finish -in a good drinking window (this bottle a little more advanced than another opened recently), rich for a Chambolle village wine, modern style a bit heavy-handed with the oak but not over-ripe and it retains good balance blessed from the vintage, in sum this is more representative of the producer and the vintage than it is of its terroir

|
PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -nearly semi-translucent red light violet, minimal clearing at edge -slight funk, red fruit, mild herbal element and some stoniness -higher acidity gives crisp tartness, medium weight and just enough sap to mostly buffer the acid, tart cherry and minerality, what it lacks in complexity is compensated by great length, med/med- tannins -bright vibrant acid-driven pretty now early in a good drinking window, probably better in 3-5 years though would be wary that the acid may become too harsh after the fruit fades

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med red trace clearing at edge -mild reduction funk perfumed wet stone cherry -med acidity builds to med+ peeking in near the finish, med- weight moderately sappy almost liqueur-like stony raspberry with limited complexity, med shading toward med+ tightly coiled tannins med length finish with mild cherry pit bitter note -very pleasant unadorned lighter weight red-fruited nicely aromatic pure mildly rustic loaded with the energy of the vintage, still on the upside but would target in the next 5 years as there may not be enough depth to carry it gracefully for another decade

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -med dark red mild bricking -reticent creamy dark cherry earth and touch of sous bois -med acidity, med/med- weight earthy slightly creamy dark cherry, med linear tannins become more prominent after an hour -OK, in early maturity, dark-fruited for Chambolle and for this producer, may need some more air or more time in bottle to come into better balance

|
PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med red minimal clearing at edge -moderately fragrant red fruit spice and gentle oak signature -med/med+ acidity, med- weight fleshes out to med over 2 hrs, initial high-toned red fruit picks up an earthy creaminess with air, on the simple side, sour mineral streak runs through to the shortish finish with med/med- tannins -decent but a little disappointing in the context of the vintage and producer, perhaps in an awkward phase
