3/23/2024 - mwneil Likes this wine: 90 pointsOk bouquet not the really fragrant one as some other DDO wines, needs time, fruit still a bit suppressed with oak, a bit of candy flavor, slowly opened with some nice sipping at the end, drank with chicken schnitzel with pasta with mushrooms, tomatoes and zucchini, Laurene is an interesting wine, not as intense as Louise and not as light as the the basic PN, enjoyed but not thrilled, WS # 16 ???, will see how ir develops, will drink again. |

3/15/2024 - rgujral Likes this wine: 91 pointsDouble decanted for 4 hours. Well rounded, smooth & balanced. Real good. QPR is a bit off but this is a great wine. We had it with Lentils de Puiy and Baked Salmon with Asparagus. Great match. |

7/19/2013 - The Drunken Cyclist Likes this wine: 90 pointsRetail $30. I bought six of these a couple years ago from the PLCB and the first two were rather uninspired. This bottle, however, was much more interesting. 2009 was a rather hot year for Oregon Chardonnay, which usually translates into rather fat wines, which lack acidity and complexity. The first two bottles certainly matched that profile, but this one was clearly better. I am not sure if this is due to a variation between bottles or if the wine has benefited from the added time in the cellar. Three bottles left to try and figure it out. Very Good to Excellent. 89-91 Points. |

3/9/2024 - oldwines Likes this wine: 93 pointsDecanted and served after 30 minutes or so and tasted over several hours. This drank nicely and was enjoyed by the 4 of us. Noticably oaky with distinct vanilla notes on the nose and palate but not obtrusive. Dark red fruited and floral with some earthy and mineral notes as well. Rich mouthfeel. Bright acidity. Balanced but leaning toward the bigger end of the spectrum. Long finish. |

3/3/2024 - hkbob Likes this wine: 90 pointsSubdued nose of strawberry, pomegranate, red cherry and sous-bois notes with some background sweetness. A lighter-bodied frame with pronounced acidity, gradually opening up over a couple of hours to develop a creamier palate profile. Medium finish. I was left wanting - for me, this wine was like a plane taxiing down the runway but never quite achieving lift-off. A glass poured on day 2 had taken a step backward. My score reflects the best part of its drinking window. |

3/7/2024 - mwneil wrote: 87 pointsThis bottle never clicked, bitter finish which have been related to pea shoots we ate, not much bouquet, fruit was subdued, drank with blackened salmon, paprika potatoes and pea shoots - maybe not the best pairing, drank ok but still disappointing, last bottle, on to other bottlings. |

3/2/2024 - jepstein4031 Does not like this wine: 87 pointsWe felt like this was a bit flabby and over-extracted. More California than Oregon. Relatively low acidity. Disappointing. Maybe it’s the vintage. We were enjoying these a few years ago. |

2/29/2024 - BaroloBucky Likes this wine: 94 pointsAnother 2019 stunner. Is this the best Willamette Valley vintage ever? I think so. Vibrant red berry, mushroom and earth on the nose. Same on the palate with loads of lively fresh cherry and cranberry, and some light herbal accent. Lots of acid and enough tannin to lay it down at least 5 more years and let those earthy notes come out more. Everything is in harmony bringing together the pop of new world fruit with the grace of old world restraint. The finish is long. It’s lean, elegant, and very classy. Drink now - roughly 2029. |

2/29/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that opened nicely at about 45 minutes into it. Good varietal typicity of aromas and flavors, medium-bodied with avg+ complexity. My only nit was I was looking for a touch more acidity to brighten this up a bit. Glad to have tried. Now and the next several years. recommended |

2/26/2024 - andreask888 Likes this wine: 90 pointsThe fruit was somewhat diminished which is expected after so many years. It certainly did benefit from decanting and from the fact that this was from a Magnum. Acidity was still pleasing but secondary notes were not super evident. |

2/22/2024 - uncledude Likes this wine: 94 pointsNot decanted or aerated, wine was consumed over 3 hours with company. Tight nose at first, primarily cherry. Cherry dominance continues on the palate with medium plus acidity and medium alcohol. Fruit is very fresh and juicy. After the first 30 minutes, catching more fennel and floral notes both on the nose and palate, along with a light oak and coke/vanilla note. Persistent finish with low, but very fine, tannins. Very balanced. |
