A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Nero. Disgorged 2020. Pale straw with a greenish hue. Aged at least 18 months on the lees. The nose is clean, with yellow apple, lime, fresh meadow and sourdough bread. Dry, clean, consistent with the nose, with med (+) acidity and med alcohol (12.5%). Fresh, with med intensity and length, with a clean, fruit-driven, mineral finish. Quite pleasant and food friendly, although not quite as complex as the '61. Good QPR. Ready to drink, not intended for further aging.

Four bottles with the crowd, consistent note, fresh and limy, like a good entry level Champagne, intense bubbles, creamy mouthfeel, chalky+, long convincing finish, recommended, **(*)

Too old. Probably 15 years since disgorging but don’t know. Actually held up better than I thought. Some musty kelp and brine, but carbonation there and acid still high. Oxidized and not a true representation, but we drank the bottle...

This is a champagne like sparkler, made from predominant Chardonnay too, this is a very good alternative for overpriced supermarket Champagnes like....... you do know, zesty lemon, some bread crest, chalky all the way, long, fine pairing with italian dishes, **(*)

Tried some Franciacorta some time ago, did not meet this sparkler very often in restaurants, so took this one for a try, a cuvee from Chard, pB and PN, so what is the difference to champagne? Blind nearly none, ripe apples and pears on the palate, great precise freshness, good grip, perfect in the heat of the night, still young appearance, getting more balanced after one hour aeration, then some bread crest aromas and all the way mineralic acid bite, good convincing length, recommended, very good QPR, about 20€ per bottle at the retailer, blind would have thougth about a champagne bottling........., **(*), 90(+) potential

My usual go for everyday sparkling, the prices in Italy are just great for these wines. Here no surprises ,disgorged 2105, this is rounded, fresh with medium intensity and medium sized bubbles.

Franciacorta can some of the most amazing sparkling wines, but this is just production bubbles on this one. I have had other Berlucchi cuvees that have been great fyi

Franciacorta is doing a marvalous job of expanding my interest into sparkling wines and this one, in particular, I'm finding to be very pleasant. It's dry and firm, but not so austere and paeks my interes. Notes of yeast, green apple and wet stone on the nose. The palette is a bit more expressive and has the additionf caramel to the finish. The feel is crisp yet with some weight. There is a big presence of acidity that puts this in perfect balance. Why drink prossecco when a bottle of Franciacorta is on the shelf? 7-18-7-8

Medium gold - steady stream of bubbles; fresh hay and citrus/honey/mineral notes, apples, charcuterie; dry, crisp toasty. Some nutty complexity, really dry and delicious. Excellent.

Pretty nice bubbly especially after a more generic Prosecco. Creamy mousse with toast and a touch of lemon.

Pleasant, supple, dry, juicy, fresh and easy but lacks structure and cohesion. The direzione technica by Franco Ziliano does not alter that.
