Popped and poured, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium expressiveness, citrus - meyer lemon and green apple, hay field, and undertones of black licorice. Palate: Medium bodied, green apple and pear attack, solid acidic back-bone, creamy mouth-feel, butter and licorice appear mid-palate, flavors fade a little thru the back-end. Finish: Short-to-medium length dominated by lemon butter and green apple.

Uncorked, sampled, returned to cold storage, drank 24 hours later. Very nice nose with notes of seashells and honey. On entry gives a strong cut of minerals and bitter almond, intense but a bit straightforward, verging on overwhelming. Smooth transition on the back end, more minerals and almond. Alcohol prominence leads me to believe this doesn't have much life left. Overall though, above average length. Not one-dimensional, but lacking a bit of intrigue. Good. 88 points.

Clear, pale lemon in color, medium intensity with developed aromas of lemon/lime zest, sea salt, meadow flower and wet stone. Dry, with medium (+) levels of acidity and alcohol; presenting intense, softly textured, citrus fruit on sharply cut crisp mineral base. Modestly long saline finish reminiscent of seawater. Nice summer time sipper. Next time w/shellfish.

Light golden color. Nutty, bready nose, with some citrus and pineapple. Medium+ body, high acid, and medium finish, with flavors of citrus, pineapple, and mineral. I get the little bitterness on the back end others mention, but it's not too off-putting for me. It's a pretty good, if not so complex, albariño, but I've definitely had better. The mineral streak running throughout it is nice though, and if you're an acid fan, this is right up your alley. Pair with shellfish, lemony dishes, or cream sauces you want to cut. Seafood alfredo would be perfect.

Prefer my Albarino with a more citrus and saline character and with less of a tropical fruit expresson. This had too much pineapple on the nose and palate for my taste. Did complement the Paella we drank it with fairly well.

My last of a case, and the color was a bit more chartreuse than straw so I was concerned. I found the nose less expressive than with prior bottles, lacking that floral/honeydew note I'd so enjoyed. No impairment to the taste, though: lime/melon/a touch of pineapple. A crisp finish, with impressive acidity. Still a great Albarino and QPR

Lovely aroma, herbaceous without being grassy, mix of citrus and tropical fruit (a little lime zest and green banana), undercurrents of flint and sea spray. Palate starts with asparagus and green melon. There's a hint of sweetness up front, balanced by moderate acidity. There's a slight bitterness reminiscent of sautéed greens that lingers in the finish, along with a wisp of sea salt. Personally, I'd like a little more acidity, but that is a nitpick on a well-balanced and enjoyable wine.

Pretty straw yellow color. Nose of fresh cut hay, yeast/lees, and a hint of banana. Somewhat savory, with the hay note repeated, as well as a distinct graphite/slate/mineral quality which gave the wine a sort of prickly texture. Pineapple flavor becomes more prominent as the wine warms up. Good acidity on the finish. Kind of a strange wine. Worked well with an earthy dish, cauliflower soup.

Lots of pineapple and citrus on the nose, but the surprising hint of granny smith creates an interesting edgy tension. On the pallet, a touch of mineral cuts through the wine's aroma. Decent alcohol level gives this wine extra excitement in the finish. A beautiful, gracious wine with an appealing nose and a hope-fulfilling taste.

Mrs. BBob describes the nose best: Clean cotton. I get melon too, then marshmallow, and finally generic citrus as the bottle progresses. Great acidity and mineral on the palate. The citrus develops after an hour or so. Nice bottle to end a Christmas weekend with. More than I'm used to paying for albarino, but worth it. 90-91 pts

Bloody hell, does this smell of anything at all?[1] If I strain my most acutely trained and finely honed of tasting faculties I think I might be able to discern a suggestion of yeastiness and maybe even something, that with the application of my active and slightly unhinged imagination, could have a vague resemblance to fruit. But sweaty tests to that! This nose is bland, torpid and tedious, matched only in anodyne character by the wit and erudition displayed in the lunchtime banter at a Trappist monastery. Arse, it is staggeringly dreary. The palate pushes back the boundaries of insipid, anaemic boredom. So devoid of character is it that I am more able to detect the flavour of my tonsils than the wine. What really worries me is that I have drank at least several bottles of this wine, indeed exchanged actual money I could have used for Burgundy or fizzy cherry sweets to get it, because it was preferable to what else was on offer. The staggeringly noisome qualities of things worse than this lacklustre contrivance so perturb me that the trip to Spain has been burnt from my diary with a laser and I’ll go and visit my chum Jeremy in Burgundy this October with the instruction that any appearance of Spanish whites will result in the agonisingly severe application of my Singapore Judicial. If, most likely given threats of having to drink something as execrable as Cava, I were forced to endure such a soulless entity of woe just to satisfy my white wine requirements the only path open to me would be to repeatedly force cocktail sticks violently into my sinuses just to prevent sensory deprevation. I must make it luridly clear that spending money on this wine will only leave you weeping with bleak depression; mind-bendingly sub-interest. Get some Sherry, it is cheaper and better.

This may be the best Akbarino I have ever tasted. The glass filled with citrus aromas and this is one racy, vibrant wine with a very sharp and lingering finish that really makes you want to come back again and again. The balance between acid and sweet is right on and I cannot wait to see what this bottle will do in another year or two.

Crystal clear, clean pale yellow straw colour. Nose of crushed almonds, toasted pine nuts, Chinese flat peaches and a touch of vanilla - fantastic complexity. The wine is deliciously refreshing, showing textbook balance between acidity and sweetness, with a flavour profile of pears, apricots and a lovely citrus core, ending on a dancing, vivid, bright finish. This is a fantastic value Albariño, showing the variety's true character, begging to be paired with seafood such as crab or octopus or razor clams, and showing that in the world of whites, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling aren't the only varieties of unmistakeable "character". Albariño is an expressive, complex, intense variety and it would be fascinating to see what it could achieve in countries like New Zealand or Chile. Pazo Señorans has nothing to prove of course, having made great wines for years, but the 2010 vintage is undoubtedly one of its best.

Very green nose of vegetables and specifically asparagus. If served blind I would have guessed Sauvignon blanc. In the mouth very fresh and intense, great body and very concentrated. Long finish. Slight green unripe, but at the same time bursting with flavors. Some might find this a bit too acidic, but for my preferences it was perfect:) The best Pazo de Senorans in years...

Wine Education Service - Green Spain: Light silvery green.
Zesty, zingy nose, light and fresh, spicy ripe fruit.
Lemon, apricot, passion fruit, slightly bitter in the mid palate, plenty of body, herby, quite long.

Very green nose of vegetables and specifically asparagus. If served blind I would have guessed Sauvignon blanc.
In the mouth very fresh and intense, great body and very concentrated. Long finish. Slight green unripe, but at the same time bursting with flavors. Some might find this a bit too acidic, but for my preferences it was perfect:)
The best Pazo de Senorans in years...

Not surprising but very solid basic Albariño. Fresh, with good structure and a fine nose (tropical fruits and herbal notes).

Popped and poured. Light golden colour. Sweet pears and a little banana on the nose. Nice acidic structure and decent length. Refreshing and savoury, but a little too much heat lowers my score by a point or two.
