Otevřené pozdě a dekantace asi jen hodinu. Určitě potřebuje víc. Je tak moderované až je průměrné. Teprve na konci jsem začal něco vnímat. Velmi velmi harmonické, až tak že není zajímavé. Ničím.

My first ever Rauzan-Gassies Grand Vin, this is a 2nd growth Bordeaux but surely times have moved on and I would be surprised if it could keep its ranking if there was a reclassification.
85% Cab, 13% Merlot and 2% PV. Circa 25% new oak.
Moderately aromatic nose, quite typical of a Margaux with its dark berries and sweet spices.
More ripe blackfruit on the palate, tannins are still there with M- acidity and I felt it lacked an elegant balance.
Some thinness on the mid palate too, medium length finish with chocolate notes.
I looked it up, and it looks like Rauzan-Gassies is literally 60 metres walk away from Rauzan-Segla in the Margaux appelation.
Date night at Stoked, we enjoyed this with two cuts of steak and quickly finished the entire bottle over our dinner!

Showing well here with a soft decant. Definitely drinks well the second day as well (undecanted). Medium weight and acidity. Secondary nuances are good but not showing much tertiary.

Cork absolutely blew up, and I didn’t have a Durand to rescue it. But I did filter the wine well enough to get a couple cork-less glass pours. No taint, and really good after 14 yrs in the bottle. My last bottle, and it’s good for the money.

An easy afternoon with close friends. (By BV @ PdV): Beautiful and complex bouquet with well dosed oak, sweet spices, dark berries and graphite. On the palate juicy dark berries, a firm amount of good acidity and tannin. Dark chocolate, a touch of sweetness and a good length. Very beautiful wine in its early maturity stage. This wine has improved so much since I tasted it in 2012 and I think there is potential for more. 93+

Drank a half bottle. Dark purple in color, aromatic, dark fruits dominated, medium to full bodied, with hint of vanilla but a bit bitter representing it is still too young to drink. Quite elegant. Suggest to keep.

At winemaker's dinner. Garnet. Nose of black fruit with cedar. Blueberry and sour cherry on front transitioning into spice, pepper and cedar on the back. Lingering for 10 seconds. Still lots of tannins.

Medium bodied, with a cherry, tobacco tinged, floral nose. Soft, but with firm tannins, and a finish that is about its red berry freshness, more time is still required here, for this to come together.

perfume and some roasty oak on the nose Firm tannin with some good ripe dark fruit underneath This is still very youthful but drinking nicely and showing some potential Perhaps never going to be great but lots to like here. I'd keep for five years before broaching again.

MW Institute 2010 Bordeaux Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Mild nose - seems shut down - with earth and blackcurrant. The tannins are quite aggressive and the fruit feels held back. Hard to approach and enjoy at this time.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice silky tannins. The tones of berries, dark red cherries, spice box and florals all have an elegant take to them.
Overall: This was a very pretty Margaux. Well balanced with a feminine quality to it on both the nose and palate.

Not a big fan of this wine – lots of licorice character on the palate, without much charm to the fruit to go with it. Has rockiness, with an overpowering quality to the licorice flavors. 87-89

UCGB tasting Bordeaux 2010 (Brussels): Perfumed bouquet with luxurious oak and red as well as dark forest fruits. On the palate juicy fruits, bell peppers, firm and sticky tannin. The mouth doesn't follow the nose completely and shows less finesse and elegance. Maybe in 10 - 15 years there is more harmony, but for now I just score it 90. Hope to try this again around 2022.

Drunk the day after a Washington 2010 similar blend
Similar colours in glass, this had a lot more acidity and life on nose and palate
Cedar and bramble, tannins integrating well
