Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of nutmeg, yellow pear and yellow apples. Flavors of lemon water, yellow pears and minerals. Medium acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

Opened and then recorked for 3 hours before serving. Reticent nose. Great well balanced palate with gravel, melon and lemon. This bottle was really nice. Ready now but plenty of life left in this wine. Excellent.

A Celebration of Jose; 5/19/2022-5/21/2022 (Madison, WI): My notes are slim here. Great nose and fine palate, with attractive flint and tropical notes, very generous, just a bit short on the finish, no hint of oxidation. Overall a superb Chablis, showing its grand cru quality.

Quick drinks while collecting wine: No signs of premox. Lovely floral and honeyed nose, age has gave it a waxy and unctuous texture. Fruit is still present but slightly fading. Lacks the weight and power that I expected but still a very pleasurable drink.

Moreau's 2004 Clos has evolved flamboyantly toward an exotic core of honeyed florals, pear, and sea breeze. There remains sufficient cut to keep this balanced but I suggest drinking up.

Still so young and fresh with abundance of dry extracts definitely didn’t feel it’s like 15 years old. This has the scent of white orchard florals, sea breeze and soon it evolve into green mangoes fruits with a very captivating smoky spices. The palate is spicy with a good intensity of lemon lime citrus fruits, a touch of vanilla, and lemon rind of the finish though I expected something more from this vineyard.

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about 90 minutes.
Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of orange foam, lychee and wet stones. Flavors of lychee, peach nectar and apricots. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink over the next couple of years. Pretty dang tasty right now.

Wine Group at home: Decanted 1 hour. White fleshed fruit, cream and nougat on the nose. Palate is terrific. All components so well balanced. There's some chalkiness, pebbles and gentle spice tossed in with the fruit. Delicious wine.

Quite soft on the nose, slightly saline with notes of citrus and white stone fruit. On the palate balanced and fresh, not very intense or concentrated, good fruit, again a bit chalky, good finish. 89-91

Beautiful balance. This wine has it all. Sweetness. Balance. Acidity. Complexity. An absolute joy to drink. Still one of the absolute best Chablis I have had the pleasure of drinking. And no sign of premox!!!

Another good bottle. Pale yellow. Initially some caramel but this gave way, especially on the second night to good fruit. Medium intensity. Well integrated. All the length and presence that one would hope for in a wine of this calibre.

Gorgeous on the nose. Touch of apple. A lovely sweetness. Great balance. So easy to drink. Flavours persistent on the finish. Bravo. My best chablis yet.

Third try of this wine. Still relatively pale. Nose of caramel but then backed by some excellent fruit. Has all the weight and power on the palate one would expect at this level.

Nice weight and depth but not heavy on the palate. Light tropical fruit with subtle honey, caramel, and light toast. Great flinty minerality on the finish.

Chalk, lemon, flint and a very light honey element. Beautiful length and minerality to the palate, with great balance. To me it is still quite youthful and I'd love to see it in a few more years.

SLDS (Rocket Restaurant - Chatswood): Chalk, minerals, and slightly flinty. Just the way I like Chablis. A kind of creamy (milky) texture in the mouth which was very appealing. Looking good.

I'm giving this 4 more points than 2 years ago. Initially I was again mildly underwhelmed, but the second night showed a wine of greater depth, weight and almost a butteriness. (Note to self to decant more serious whites.) This wine still good for 5 years.

Holy Jesus in a barn this is delicious and I wish I had bought more from that weird So Carolina clearance warehouse at $35?! Really wish money grew on trees, or that I was wine collecting 8 yrs ago, and I could drink more properly aged Chablis. And hey, why not more Grand Cru. This has an awesome pungent seashell nose--the only thing I can compare it to is an '02 Dauvissat AOC Chablis tasted 3 years back. Milky, elusive dairy-like crazy seashell nose--something like violet or lavender mixed with...is it ricotta, or parmesan, or vanilla pudding? with occasional flecks of spices like tarragon or thyme to accompany the ground shells ... Jane, the birthday girl, caught something she found intriguing akin to fresh button mushrooms in the initial aroma an hour opening (in addition to the ground seashell party). Damn, son.

saw the lemony commentary of others and bought some of this wine, frankly it was too unctuous for me... someone mentioned lanolin and i kinda agree... maybe just a bad bottle but mine was heavy and not acidic/tight... could it have been the first inning of premox?... anyway it wasn't my favorite... certainly a very different wine but this disappointed in a manner similar to that of a couple bottles of bonneau du martray Corton Charlie recently - too rich/thick

1st Annual Chablis and Spot Prawn Dinner (Chez Rasoul): Light to medium straw colour. The nose here even more classic than the 05 with pure notes of white flowers, loads of salinity, citrus and minerality. Palate is much of the same with racy, intense and mineral driven flavours with razor cut acidity and perfect balance. While the 04 and 05 are both excellent, I’ll give the slight nod to the 04 for just being hair more classy and complete. Similar to the 05 this is beautiful right now but years to go. Outstanding.

Pleasant enough, but rather bland. The still noticable oaikiness insufficiently integrated with the lemony fruit. (And have you noticed how many tasters have emphasised the lemony character?)

Double decanted two hours before serving. Light-medium yellow with a faint green cast. Penetrating aromas of flint, high-toned or high-strung fruit, and an element of cheese rind. In the mouth, great Les Clos character of "singing stone" with the fruit double-parked on a firm slab of acid; this is a good deal more tightly wrapped than its 2002 counterpart at the same stage of evolution. Wants to unwind and needs another couple of years.

Still pale. Not a lot of intensity--some nice oyster shell and muted pineapple. Seems almost a little dilute but certainly has finesse. I don't know if this will gain gravitas with time.

Great Chablis: all beeswax and mineral, with just a bit of round fruit and oak to give it some serious depth. The lanolin component is just on the edge for my palette, otherwise it would be nearly perfect.
