original release. 72% 2007, disgorged in April 2021 with 3.5 g/l dosage. 47% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot noir, 20% Pinot Meunier. Beautifully aging, great citrus on the edges of the tongue underlying toffee, baked green apple, and some other notes of the bottle age. First 735, happy to have it at this age.

Everything you want from an aged champagne. Looked so young and fresh in the glass. Lovely roundness depth of flavour but with a fresh backbone and just got better and better. Honey, brioche and xmas spices. Just superb. Everyone was enthralled. A good outcome from what was meant to have been a difficult year.

Jacquesson 728-741 tasting. 72% 2007, 28% reserve. 47% Chard, 33% PN, 20% PM. Disg Feb 2012, 3.5 g/l dosage. Similar blends to 734 and 733, but much less time in bttl than those wines. The least complex wine of the flight, and likely a bit past prime. More lemon than golden apple. Just didn't stand out by comparison. Ok acidity, and a touch flat on the finish.

2007 vintage as base and about 30% of reserve wines added. One of the older bottlings and disgorged January 2012, so it has spent quite some time in the bottle.
Ripe apple from the age, some white flowers, citrus and a bit of yeast/bread. Pineapple/passionfruit on the nose too. Some rock-y notes as well. Slightly warm feeling. Going downhill from here so drink up!

A blend of Chardonnay (47%), Pinot Noir (33%) and Pinot Meunier (20%). A blend of vintage 2007 (72%), with reserve wines from 2006 (22%) and 2005 (6%). Disgorged in March 2012. 12% alcohol, dosage 6 g/l.
Somewhat developed lemony yellow. Very fine-tuned and pretty nose showing attractive, slightly developed and toasty aromas like subtle caramel character and hints of golden raisins. However, the nose is still mostly dominated by aromas of ripe red apples, some grapefruit zest and yeasty, autolytic hints of French bread. The wine is dry, focused and crisp on the palate with almost bone-dry flavors of crisp green apples, spicy red apples, some toffee, a little bit of autolytic yeasty character and developed hints of dried yellow fruits and caramel. The mousse feels quite crisp, very balanced and pretty persistent. The acidity isn't particularly high, but still high enough to keep the wine balanced and refreshing - a characteristics further emphasized by the almost nonexistent dosage. The finish is pure, mineral and somewhat steely with quite mouthwatering flavors of ripe citrus fruits, tart green apples, some caramel, a sweet autolytic hint of brioche and a touch of chalky minerality.
A very attractive, pure and well-delineated NV Champagne that is at the age of approximately 10 years performing surprisingly nicely - given that none of the vintages that compose the wine were particularly memorable in Champagne. The wine is starting to show the first signs of age, but this is still very pure, vibrant and quite youthful in style - I don't doubt for a moment that the wine could develop for at least another 5 years and most likely it will keep good for at least a decade from here. Very lovely, harmonious and nicely refreshing low-dosage NV. Worth its price at 43,90€.

Light/medium yellow. Very persistent mousse, in fact a bit frothy. Brioche, lemon and hints of red fruit. Very nice dry lemon and bread dough flavours and a long dry finish.
Overall a very nice Champagne, not as rich as the very intense 736 but more enjoyable.

Dominately made from wines of 2007 (72%) Degorgé Mars 2012 (bottle was ready made in March 2012 by final removing the yeast).
Lean, crisp and dry. Correctly made with a very elegant and fine perlage and typical flavours but with a medium finish that disappointed me on the first evening (87 P.) Better on the second evening from an almost empty bottle. It seemed to had opened up. (89 P.). We had the Nr. 734 at a restaurant in 2011 and we all liked it, but this one must be a bit below the normal standard of the producer regarding the high praise it received from critics. We had a good comparison in a blind tasting to 2 other Champagnes and an amazing sparkling wine from Germany (Raumland Cuvee Katherine, for less than half the price). They all performed on par or even better with or without food. Perfect wine for raw oysters.

We and several others welcomed back our friend after 13 years absence. We were tasked with wine selection for the evening so started with our trusted and true 735! It was our last bottle, but well-received by the audience! Nice balance between the 3 Champagne stalwarts and sufficiently dry (3.5 g/l) to surpass the usual party bubble! We requested and were pleased to have our bubbles served in a proper Chardonnay glass. Good start!!!

As is the norm with Cathy, we started with a Jacquesson 735. We consider Jacquesson to be our “house champagne”, which makes for a happy abode. Even the 735, which is 3.5 g/l, is a wonderfully dry, light bubbles shampoo made from a blend of 47% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Nior and 20% Meunier. It is complex, rich and fabulously fruity balanced with a hint of oak from vilification in wooden casks. We prefer the 736 with only 1.5 g/l dosage, but this is an excellent way to start a sipping ’n snacking day seeking a bit more fruit before the greater dryness of a 737.

Champagne: Deg 05/11.

A lovely acquaintance, the cuvée 735 is a pure joy to experience. It is fresh with tones of baked apples and brioche. The palate is powerful but keeps an elegant air around it adjoined by slightly oxidative tones. With a vivid mousse and balanced acidity the whole experience is really classy and nice. For sure a wine worth tasting if given the chance. (score is 92-93)

Thought this was a very complete wine and was impressed. Rick, round, harmonius yet pointed and focussed. Nice mineral and chalk notes but balanced with lemon and citrus fruits. I think it's a bit too young and thought the yeasty bready notes that develop with age would be PERFECT to take this to the next level. Actually buying more to age. Fantastic QPR.

Pale yellow, lots of bubbles. Toasty, flint nose. Strawberries, apple, lees, creamy expansive mouth feel. Nice acidity, not steely at all. Finishes medium+ with plenty of evidence of the elevage.
This is a nice MV and decent value for those who are looking for a rich style with plenty of oak. Went well with perch in a caper butter sauce.

Interesting chalkiness and minerality that lingers and dominates the overall impression. Mousse is fine and quite lively. Flint and acidity are very nice, but practically obliterates the fruit.

Champagne Jacquesson with Jean-Hervé Chiquet (Stockholm): Appearance: bright yellow Nose: ripe pears, yellow and red apples, other yellow fruit, honey, citrus, some herbs, mineral, slightly toasted notes. Palate: dry, mineral notes, citrus, green and yellow apples, high acidity, pure and elegant Fresh and firm aftertaste with a lot of mineral Rather young but drinkable now.

Good champagne. Nose starts of on the sharp side, with green apple and citrus notes but as time passes on it evolves with more yeasty notes coming forward and gives a rounder feeling to the champagne. On the palate it is mineral, medium bodied and acidity and in the gout francais style, ie more an aperitif. Vibrant and focussed and much like the nose it evolves nicely over 30minutes in the glass with more creamy notes making their appearnace. Very good and with lots of life ahead. 92

This is one of the finest champagnes available imho. There's so much going on here and the nose is ever-changing and constantly evolving. Aromas of apricots and orange-peel underlined by a discreet impression of slightly toasted brioche coated with salty butter. The longer this wine is exposed to oxygen, the more the nose evolves and becomes tucked-in by exotic fruit aromas. On the palate this wine is extraordinarily elegant and maintains its freshness to the last drop, while being well-structured by minerality and mousse.

This pushed all of my pleasure buttons. Lovely vibrant acidity gives it a precise feel, but there is also an underlying rich lushness. Notable minerality but a lingering sense of fruit. Eminently enjoyable stuff and I would like to pick up another bottle to hold on to for a couple of years (though it is drinking beautifully right now).

Huge and wonderful nose of stone fruit and citrus with a touch of wet stone. On the palette this has good fruit and acidity, but I was expecting more based on the nose. The finish is shorter than expected. Not bad for a negotiant wine, but I much prefer farmer fizz.

taste: medium bodied with refreshing medium+ acidity. Very well balanced with precise tones of green apples, citrus tones, crushed rocks, stone fruits, and some brioche.
overall: This is really lovely right now. Balanced with a big mineral streak to it on both the nose and palate.

Another example of the textural sophistication and steely poise indicative of the Jacquesson house style. The citrus-based fruit profile is an exercise in precision, allowing the the wine to be propped up by its superb minerality and radiant acidity. The details are to be found sifting through the palate's structural layers rather than in any fruit-based nuances. This is very long and complex. Would be interesting to see this unfurl with a few years in the cellar.

If I was going to introduce someone to grower Champagne I would probably start with this superb series of numbered cuvees from Jacquesson. They never fail to disappoint thanks to their adroit handling of acidity, fruit and power, which come together in the 735 cuvee to give a Champagne with distinctive cherry stone flavours contained in a muscular, pinot-led structure. Vinous and serious with good potential.

Quite a treat to taste this after having the 734 last month! Fine persistent bubbles with aromas of stone fruit, lemon, orchard fruit, brioche and minerals. Wonderfully complex and intense on the palate with bright acidity to give it plenty of focus. Great balance and very good length. I think I preferred this over the 734 as how they are drinking today.

Never disappoints and always a revelation for my (French) friends who don't know this maison. I just wish I kept it a few years rather than always buying to drink within a couple of months. Pale. Very rich, citric, fruity nose, almost sweet. The palate confounds-off dry but hardly sweet, leaner, quite mineral finish. This clearly needs time to come together but with its bright fruit and structure underneath, should be very good.

Champagne Tasting: Interesting Nose, Touch Vegetal in a good way, but this needs time, it comes across as youthful and needs 3-5years bottle age
Conc: I would buy some myself and lay down

Fitting perfectly traditional Norwegian home smocked salmon
Deep and complex Champgne, citrus aimed, with light nutty touch
Pointing but excelling acidity, refreshing with stones fruits
Minerality expression on a good complexity
Long lasting in mouth
Competiting with some higher Champagnes that would be sold really more expensive

Huge and wonderful nose of stone fruit and citrus with a touch of wet stone. On the palette this has good fruit and acidity, but I was expecting more based on the nose. The finish is shorter than expected. Not bad for a negotiant wine, but I much prefer farmer fizz.

nose: lovely and fresh nose with tones of green apples, pears, citrus tones along with a good amount of minerals in the form of crushed stones and stone fruits. Very nice depth with real precision on the nose as well.
taste: medium bodied with refreshing medium+ acidity.

Fine mousse, floral and citrus nose, dry and biscuity on the palette - struggling to see where other tasters get the sweetness. Medium finish.

12.5% - Clear, med- lemon with tiny bubbles / clean, med intensity - baked apple, some lemon curd - a bit yeasty, toast / dry, high acidity, light body, med intensity, med+ length. Nice light mousse texture and good balance. However, this one does not seem to have as many layers as the cuvee 734 or 733 had

Pale. Very rich, citric, fruity nose, almost sweet. The palate confounds-off dry but hardly sweet, leaner, quite mineral finish. This clearly needs time to come together but with its bright fruit and structure underneath, should be very good.
