Light gold yellow. This wine is a nice surprise. The nose jumps out of the glass with Sauvignon Blanc typicity of grass, lemon but also paired with a distinctively smoky touch and some yellow fruit. Almost a bit too much crowd pleasing but very nice. The palate is fresh but also creamy. Very nice showing and shows that Bordeaux may have to produce more dry whites if they struggle to sell their Sauternes. Dessert wines is unfortunately a very small niche of all wines consumed. Mature, drink now and over the next few years.

I LOVE it!! I’m glad I have one more bottle. I truly wish I had more. Pungent aroma of melon, with a tangerine undertone and sweet spices. On the palate are peach, pear, honeydew with hints of cinnamon. Gives me hints of French toast. Smooth and citrusy finish. Very smooth texture. Should be drunk this year.

Pineapple, grass, and white flowers on the nose, maybe a bit of melon. Tropical flavors with nice richness on the palate- a touch of white pepper and a mineral finish. Tropical, floral, and bright - delightful. Paired nicely with pan seared pork chop, roasted brussels with peaches and a mac and cheese sprinkled with blue cheese.

CdBdx Michelin Chef Wine Dinner 2017 (One-Ninety Restaurant): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of citrus lemon, sweet herbs, slight perfume. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet citrus lemon-lime, greengage, honeyed pineapple, sweet creamy mousse. slight toast. Long finish. Good quality. Very drinkable. Honeyed cream thing going on on the palate is nice. No need for further ageing. 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Sémillon. 80% fermented in 1 year old ex-Sauternes barrels.

I've been buying this by the case for several years now. Some vintages emphasize the grapefruit notes (2009 in particular), others the pineapple notes (2012). But they all share a fat mouthfeel, with dry tropical fruit flavors, soft nutty overtones and a wonderful value.

Pale gold in the glass. White flowers and quince on the nose and palate. Medium plus acidity balances the fat, full-bodied mouthfeel. Finish is a bit brooding (surprisingly so). Excellent balance between SB grass and Semillon weight makes for an excellent compliment to winter seafood and vegetable pairings.

After having a few vintages of this, I can say that I feel it's a consistently good value and easy buy. Nice golden color here. Aromas of pineapple, dried apricots, notable nuttiness, beeswax, and saline. Medium+ body, acid, and finish, and flavors largely mirroring the nose. It kind of has a bit of an aged vibe to it already, so my thought is to drink my other sooner than later. Long legs, if that means anything to you. Someone mentioned sweet; it is not sweet whatsoever.

I've come to the conclusion that this wine is best enjoyed on its own … well, at least I haven't been able to match it with food successfully so far. I don't quite "get it," but it is an appealing, if somehwat simple white Bordeaux. Had expected more complexity given the pedigree, to be honest.

this is a fine white blend of primarily SB and Semillion. The trick of the wine that fortifies it ever so nicely is that it is barreled in one year old Sauternes barrels so the wine has more body than expected by the varietals and still is lighter than Chardonnay, a nice outcome by my taste. will keep buying this wine as it is perfect with fish, chicken and pasta

Aromas of yellow fruit, musk melon, grass, lemon peal, cream and spice. Full bodied on the palate, thick and bitter with good acid and a long finish. I can't say that I'm enjoying this. Not easy to drink. Nice nose. I wonder what time in the bottle will do for this? Large diameter cork. 14.2% alcohol.

Still enjoyable although so young; the nose, complex, fresh, and elegant with guavas, lemon zest, mangoes, papayas, peaches, pink grapefruits, and white flowers; the palate, creamy, fruity, and well-structured with honey, grapefruits, whipped cream, and a touch of bitter orange peels; the finish, creamy and long, with most of the stuff from the palate; overall, 90-91 points for now; fairly good QPR; more enjoyable than the 2009 vintage in my view; will try the next bottle in a year.

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc (70%) and Sémillon (30%). 80% of the wine fermented and aged for 6-9 months in old barriques used for Sauternes, 20% in stainless steel.
Ripe lemon yellow color. Rich nose with nuanced aromas of ripe pear, pineapple, some honeydew melon and a hint of vanilla. The wine is dry, full-bodied, rich and supple on the palate with moderately high acidity - yet not enough to keep the wine from coming across as soft. The mouthfeel is quite oily and there are flavors of crunchy white currants, honeydew melon, some pineapple and a hint of pear. The finish is rich, long and juicy, showing almost chewy richness and ripe, medium-long flavors of yellow stone fruits, some pineapple, a little bit of oak spice, a hint of currant leaves and a touch of vanilla.
A little bit odd one, this. It is a dry Bordeaux white, yet it shows some Sauternes character up to the point it feels quite rich and textural, like a dessert wine - yet it doesn't come nowhere near as complex and unctuous as Sauternes, but instead feels rather simple and straightforward. I find it hard getting "into" this wine. Although its acidity isn't as low as it appears to be, I still wouldn't cellar this wine an extended period of time. Perhaps some years in a cellar could coax some complexity out of this, however. I really don't know where to sit with this wine, but I'm not particularly impressed, at least for now.
