Floral, Cannubi perfume: roses, violet, balsam. Supple fresh and still forward and fleshy on the palate. Interestingly more grip than the Brunate le Coste. The fruit turning a touch brown. Midweighted and not heavy. No sense of burnt fruit, but also not a ton of nuance. Has a bit of a midpalate hole compared to the BLC. Riper fruits and maybe unripe pips. Still outstanding, and a success for the vintage.

Accomasso Tasting plus some great Barolo Pirates (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): *** all wines tasted blind *** Glass: Zwiesel 1872 Moment Pinot Clean, medium ruby color. Clean, classic Barolo nose, with lots of fine red fruit. High acidity, high tannin. Very juicy, spicy, lots of red fruit, tar, orange peel, herbaceous, rose petals. Very elegant and dense, wonderful pressure. Long! Very youthful, great potential 94+

superbly elegant, with great purity of cherry fruit, very clean. I see the analogy to burgundy. Lots of tannins so this is at no risk of fading anytime soon, but showing so classic and gorgeous today that I say, 'why wait?'

What a perfumed nose of roses & cherries, elegant and pretty but with enough substance on the palate, very fruit forward, the balance was perfect, against a lot of good wines tonight, my Wotn with the 85 Pichon Lalande 95

Great Barolo with nice depth, rather dark fruit and some undervegetation. Acidity is nice for a warm vintage and tannins are chewy but also slightly dry.

Wow, this was an absolutely stunning showing. I particularly dislike 2009 in Barolo, because I find many of the wines lack in body and depth, but at the same time are flabby, lack in freshness and precision and the alcohol is often recognizable. So much about my genersal experiences with 2009. this is nothing like that. A wine of incredible perfume, seductive, with beautifully sweet red cherries and red currant, crushed violets, sweet spices, mint, tobacco leaf, cedar wood. It‘s medium-full bodied, very good mid-palate persistence, it has medium+ tannin that is very silky and medium+ acidity adding good freshness. Very good length. A super seductive, perfumed and beautiful G. Rinaldi. It doesn‘t have the structure of the very best vintages but it‘s spectacular to drink now and over the next 10 years or so.
Had this with the 09 Brunate. Both decanted over 6 hours and tasted day 2. During the first 3 hours this was the winner with sinewy rich black fruit, liquorice. Ripeness and power. End of day one it lost its balance and had a clunky texture. Day 2 was prunes and more elegance, but lost to Brunate by a couple points.

Tonight this wine was singing right out of the bottle. The nose was beautiful. Red fruit, floral, rose petals. At first very tannic but not rough...after an hour it was amazing....silky tannins, red fruit , very very elegant. Best bottle I had of the cannubi San Lorenzo ravera

Tasted together with the Brunat Le Coste, and this one appeared drier in the mouth, and with more understated Nebbiolo aromas. Not as delicat and rich as the sibling.

this needs lot's of air (of course). Lovely sweet and sour berries all over. Big tannic palate (of course). Juicy and tasty. Big wine. Good now but will improve (of course).

Decanted at first for 2 hours. On the nose you can smell the red fruit. Definitely had the fruit taste on first sip. Built massively as you can taste the ripe tannins. After 4 hours the fruit and floral notes came through beautifully as the tannins softened. Fantastic wine although I think you can wait a couple years despite the warm vintage of '09.

Sleek and round red and blue fruit with plums and rose petals. Much less tannic on day two.

Still dark, perfumed nose of tar & roses, sexy, voluptuous, beautiful Rinaldi, still not ready, would give this at least 3 more years
