Pale gold color. PNP, drank several glasses over 2 hours at a restaurant. As always this is such a nice bottle of wine. A steal on lists, comparatively speaking and for the quality you get. Very complex, the nose starts with a burst of citrus and sea shore minerality that follows through on the palate. Very fresh and crisp, a hallmark. Then the evolution of fruit begins, there's lemon and honeydew melon first, then apple, white peach, key lime and some grapefruit to go along with burgeoning white flowers. Good intensity and racy acidity that together with the slightly briny minerality envelopes the fruit. 91+pts.

Magnum night with the neighbors (Somewhere on E. 4th street): Is there a better value in the wine world? I think not. $25 for a MAG. Light golden in color. The nose has sea air and crushed seashells along with a rocky minerality. light to medium bodied. Refreshing. A nice acidity that doesn't overpower the palate which has slight lemony notes with lots of minerality and a slight salinity. Crisp. Nice finish. Perfect early in the meal.

For the value, seriously, this is nuts. Briny, sea salty, oceanic, refreshing, clean. This surfer is happy. I tasted this with a pairing of herb crusted river trout, and I was a very happy camper.

My comments are consistent with most other notes, and since it's nearing Thanksgiving here in the States, let me simply say how thankful I am that such an incredible, detailed, energetic, pleasureable wine can be had at this price. Many thanks to all those that played a role in bringing it to our table!
On a warm Fall day, this brings back memories of summer. Green apples, lemon, oyster shells on the nose and palate. Crisp and clean, but with a mellow finish. Great wine for $12, drinking fine now.

12.0% - Clear, med to light green lemon / clean, med- intensity - ripe lemon, herbaceous, saline, mineral and bit yeasty / dry, med+ racy acidity, med- body, med intensity and length. Another solid Domaine La Pepière that was just wonderful with mussels. I think I could drink this everyday and not get tired of it...
Unbelievable value and depth at this level. Sea brine, bright lemon/lime, slate minerality, and dried green herbs rolled into a taught, energetic medium frame. Just excellent now, will age effortlessly. Drink or Hold
A fantastic rendition of this perennial QPR favorite. Deeper and richer than in most years, it nonetheless has the usual Pepiere characteristics: citrusy fruit, minerals galore and a firm spine of acidity. Definitely more-ish.

Opened 30 minutes in advance. Pure saline lemon aroma. Pleasant lemon mousse flavors, Bracing, complex finish with notes of lemon zest, apricot, petrol among others.
More open and less austere than other years. It's got that same firm foundation and classic muscadet profile, but the flavors are richer and fuller with more depth and complexity. Normally this is an outrageous value, so I'm not even sure what superlative applies in this case.

Insignia, Shafer, Peppiere (My backyard): Always a great value. A nose of sea shells, and sea air. Medium bodied. Crisp and clean. Nice acidity. Not much fruit here (some vintages have a bit more citrus). Still very nice. On its own or with food.

Smells almost like a light Chablis. Some minerality and lemon citrus on the nose. On the palate the wine is light in weight with tart green apple, lemon and citrus. Wet stone minerals. I agree with the others that have said this would be great with some raw oysters.

Nose: Fresh and aromatic with sea shells, fresh limes, minerals, sea breeze, and a slight hint of herbs.
Taste: Light bodied with high acidity. The acidity is certainly noticeable with sea shells, fresh picked limes, minerals, and a touch of herbs.
Overall: This is a fantastic value and a real quality muscadet. There is a real crisp salinity to it on the nose with a refreshing quality on the palate.

Offering light, crisp, a little fizzy and minerally characters, this 2012 Muscadet is savory with a bit of saltiness. There is a plenty of acidity. While I really appreciate this type of wine, this particular bottle offered a bit short of wow experience for me.

Off the list at Marlow & Sons. This may very well be the best vintage of Pepiere’s basic Muscadet that I’ve ever had. All of the minerally acidity that you expect from a muscadet, but with a thicker almost viscous body (at least in the context of Muscadet!). Really, really nice.

Bright, lively nose of floral lemon lime citrus, sea spray, sea weed, and dried herbs. Medium bodied, with a bit more orchard fruit on the palate, though nevertheless centered on a vein of saline minerality, creamy herbed lemon citrus, and wonderfully persistent acidity. Balanced and delicious, this may be one of the best values left in wine. Drink or hold.

It's easy to take Pepiere for granted, as it's so damn consistent year over year. The 2012 keeps the tradition going, with the usual lip-smacking sea salt and lemony goodness. This vintage was a little reminiscent of the 2009, with its tiny hint of sweetness of the finish, but this is by no means a "round" wine. It's got all the bracing energy, crunchy mineral texture, and food friendliness that make this such a cellar favorite of mine.

Wow! My first wine from this appellation and I am impressed. This is a mineral driven wine with a subtle tangy element on the nose, on the palate the body is light and crisp, it is complex with chalky minerals and bone dry acidity that gives notes of lemongrass or tart apple. Excellent on its own but even better with seafood, if the definition of a good wine is one that you can drink a full bottle even if you don't want to, this is one if those wines. Salud!
