Starts out very reduced but opens up with air. After a couple bottles that seemed more advanced I have started pouring these without decanting and it has been a better path. Not sure it matters but there you go. This bottle was slightly reductive but the color was good and mid-yellow. Dense, lots of extract. Mineral. On the dark side of Chablis, but a good bottle and good wine. Drinks well now and I would not keep much longer.

10 years in and going strong. Slightly golden color. Dense and weighty for 2013 but the raw material is excellent. Clearly Chablis. It has that “Jolly Rancher grape” smell that I find in so many Chablis. I know, weird, but what can I say? Needs to be cold room temperature and a bit of air as starts slightly reduced. Oily, lemony, salted. Will it get better- I don’t know but it could be. Lots of solid structure here. I am going to drink more now but definitely decant more next time.

Light golden colour. Quite ripe for a Chablis, with notes of peach, lemon and oyster. Decanted half and left half in the bottle and the decanted portion was lightyears ahead of the other portion. Decant this for 2 hours at least.

Drinking very well now, and isn’t on the way down either. This took some time to open up properly, and while it is a little inflicted by botrytis, and is a little ripe, it delivers all the key elements of a Dauvissat. The level on it is definitely above your average village, but it isn’t textbook Chablis to me. I wish I had more, but alas.
Drink them if you have them, it’s peaking.

Drink extremely well. Surprised by the ripeness as I was expecting something leaner considering the vintage. Crystallized lime sugar, lemon, orchard fruit with oyster notes. Touch of fern. Round with nice acidity. Really nice Chablis. Did note fade at all over 3 days.

This continues to impress. Golden color. Filled with white fruit, the palate is starting to show some honeyed nuance. Bright citrus acidity. Great depth for a regional wine. This is a fine white burgundy that can serve any occasion. (90)

Drinking very well now! A little tight on day 1, with a classic Chablis profile. Lots of citrus, lanolin, but only a moderate acidity, which made it seem a little tired. On day 2 it was a very different wine, with loads of ripe fruit, racing acidity, and a lot of complexity. This was a joy drink, and I'm sure there's plenty life left, although I see no reason to wait.

Mainly apple, some lemon and the typical Chablis sea stuff, this one is quite rich, drinking very well, no need to wait longer. On day 2, the wine gets restrained, longer, more focused, also more on the lemon side.

Bright and taught, it's perfectly rich and balances, i'd say the vintage here is a benefit rather than a liability, sure its doesnt have the depth of 1er or GC but its perfect in its youth now. hold if you like them older.

So, Dauvissat. Really something you have to try from Chablis, if you want the top of the line. This is just their regular Chablis, but it's great.
Smells a lot like rice, rice porridge, very full, nice acidity. Some fruit comes through. Acidic on the palate, unripe fruit, almond, somewhat green. It's still young, and clearly shows that there aren't bad vintages, just bad vintners.
So, I've had some wine by now; my notes won't be great. The wine, however, is pretty great. I'd love to buy this, but it's impossible here. Try Dauvissat if you ever have a chance.

The cork crumbled as I tried to extract it, and in the end the last bit fell into the wine, which might have affected it. Indeed it did not show so well. No TN, from memory. Intense golden color, clear. My impression of the nose is that the fruit was gone, but on day one it was a pleasant mix of some reduction and typical wet rocks and sea breeze. Quite full bodied on the palate (for a Chablis), but had good freshness and minerality. Became totally nondescript on day two and three (cork?).

Tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -translucent light gold -expressive sweet grapefruit honey floral -acidity expresses itself more as intense sourness rather than mouthfeel, med/med- weight, grapefruit pith with a paradoxically sweet honey element and trademark Dauvissat intensity with some saline minerality hiding beneath; more tropical but more focused on day 2 -this marriage of the ripeness of the vintage and Dauvissat's intense house style is not working well with this bottle at this time, would give a couple years before trying another to see what happens

Pnp from my cellar (10º). Totally on grapefruit and citrus notes, quite long, high acidity, has nothing to do with some Chablis 2013 drank from other producers, which had quite little tension. Like it a lot, will be interesting to see its development tomorrow. Yesterday the wine was much more on the lemon side, on day 2 it switched to grapefruit. Excellent.

This is real deal white Burgundy that is way better (IMHO) that most white Burgundy at twice the price (and most premiere cru Chablis). Richer than Dauvissat's 1er and GC's but still has the grip and salinity. Lovely. (90)

tasted over 3 hrs -translucent light gold becomes lighter with some air -ripe almost tropical lemon stone -med acidity, ripe somewhat tropical fruit turns to the citrus side after 2 hrs, intense minerality without a lot of complexity -riper and a bit less interesting than usual this vintage but maintains trademark Dauvissat searing minerality

Similar to last bottle. A little bigger/more tropical than typical Dauvissat, but still seems like it'd be hard to mistake for anything other than Chablis. Drinking well now. Drink or hold.

Impressive. Crushed rocks and white flowers emerge from this sturdy and flavorful wine. A bit more heft than expected but that's ok - points to something a bit further south in burgundy. That said, this wine is balanced and drinking very well. I like this even more than the score suggests (90)

Opened and poured, this wine began stern and tart on the palate it needed about an hour of airing to show its best with more length on the finish and better overall balance. Although very good with airing this bottle goes through some difficult stages that kept it from showing as well as previous experiences with this wine.

Decanted and poured, this wine gave an excellent showing the bouquet shows detailed citrus, oyster shell, slate and chalk notes with some underlying richer elements. The color is a youthful light yellow. The light to medium bodied palate shows excellent overall balance with sufficient acidity on the medium length finish to give the wine focus and detail. The palate displays a fine grained, chalky texture along with youthful citrus fruit and saline notes. This wine should benefit from additional bottle age.
