Looking over my notes from previous vintages of this wine, there seems to be a lot of vintage difference, or the wine changes considerably with age. I compared the 2015 to a Chablis, only weaker and less interesting. This one had significant oak, and stylistically seemed very California in a balanced way. $30 seems appropriate.

This is my favorite bottling of LF chard in 2014. For me other usual go-to's golden slope and four just didnt show up in '14. White hill acidity and minerality with a nice burst of lemon and green apple. Still slightly reductive but has been progressing nicely.

Great Cali chard! Light, gold tinged straw. Spicy, white orchard fruit with honeysuckle, smokey lees, sweet butter and stone all with very good acidity. This doesn't taste like Burgundy but seems to nod on that direction. I am going to keep buying this stuff.

This is an interesting central coast Chardonnay with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and good minerality. I also appreciate that the oak is in balance, but it is a little hollow on the finish.

No formal notes taken, drank with friends at the Hollywood Bowl, and after having an Aubert & Kongs, in previous weeks, this LF could hang out with the big boys!! Considering the entry price, amazing QPR!!
Was in a great drinking window, and tasted no signs of any 'tiredness' so this easily has 5+ years under its belt. So good, gonna start looking up to add some more bottles to the cellar!!
92+

Aromas of mineral and nut. Nose was really shut down. May be too cold. Flavors of buttered popcorn, tropical fruit, citrus and touch of mineral. Ends with a buttered popcorn and nut finish of 25 seconds. I think this was served too cold. Will try to try again once warmer. This did have more old world notes then new world. Different from the previous time i had it.

Fri Night Blinds (château du Chevlin): 91-92 This did very well considering the tough competition, tasted double blind with Aubert & Raveneau. My contribution and I was hoping based on a few previous reviews may trip us up a bit. Whole group called CA, however did show very nice and one taster identified as Aubert. Very good acid, solid mineral presence, lemon, fruit was a touch ripe and more fruity than the Rav.

Very enjoyable chardonnay, rich fruit but with moderate acidity. Nice long finish. I thought there was maybe 10% new oak, but it's 10% steel and 90% neutral barrels. I don't drink white wine often and only recently started branching into tasting a few white Burgundy wines. Drinking this wine I thought I would have a hard time guessing this was CA vs FR if blinded.

Second Sunday Group: 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet (Neil's): Double blind. Bright yellow with a slight green tint. Aromas of toasted orchard fruit with lemony citrus and stony mineral notes underneath. The palate pretty much follows the bouquet, though the citrus is more of a lemon curd than freshly cut. Picks up a hint of mineral in the bright, lingering finish. Good underlying acidity. I was convinced this was a 2014 Meursault. 92-93 pts.

Light yellow. White peach, pear, and ripe lemon notes. Just a hint of spiced oak on the finish. Medium bodied, with crisp fresh acidity. Good with and without food.

Superb; best CA chardonnay I've had in years. Minerally old world nose on restrained new world fruit results in a very complex understated elegance. LOVE LOVE LOVED it.

Medium plus nose shows yellow apple, yellow flowers, baked pear, mineral tone like limestone. Palate matches that, New World style but it's muted in that way, pineapple, lemon zest, limestone, pear, apple. Mid-palate doesn't shine but the finish does. Alcohol seems lower (13.5%), nicely elegant and smooth with complexity.

Bottle purchase at Fog Bar Rockland, ME. Drinkable but based on all the positive feedback from CTers I follow + plus the full-time critics, this is an off bottle. Not corked, just a bit of a hot mess. Tiniest hints of salted butter, white flowers, and peach. And i mean tiniest. Otherwise it's raw with etoh and acid poking out everywhere, and finishing with a texture and flavor that's almost dishwater-y. By far the worst LF I've had, which again suggests an off bottle. If scoring, ~83.

lovely. leanest of the line-up, but not lean in the absolute sense - this is medium bodied. nice acidity, paired beautifully with food (fried lemon pasta, miso roast chicken)

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like pear, peach and peach blossom. It tastes like peach, lemon, vanilla and oak. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Green apple. Some cream. Lemon curd. Lemon zest. Stone fruits. Medium-low acidity. Short finish a bit bitter on end. Ok, drinking nicely. Not overly complex.

Six Nations 2016: Musk, straw, lemon, pear and orange. Precision and great poise on the palate, there is also good depth here. Really good length. Came back for a second taste at the end of the night and was showing just as well, perhaps even a touch better as it had opened up further.

Color/App: light-to-medium deep yellow core with nice viscosity. As others have noted, nose is quite reminiscent of a very good PC Chablis (or better?). Lemon zest, apple, pear, wet stone/minerality and a deft touch of oak; quite pretty. Palate of white flowers, apple pie, peach pit and minerals. Lovely, balanced, medium-bodied wine with no sharp edges that should pair nicely with most foods, unlike many of its Cali counterparts. Good acidity, as it should have, along with a nice midpalate and reasonably long finish. With the acid and minerality and balance I wonder if this would age like a good Chablis? Hmmmm . . . .

Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of camphor, yellow pear, yellow apple, hint of earthiness. Flavors of cherry, lemon, yellow pear. Medium to tangy acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold. My guess was this is a 2010 California Chardonnay, unsure about producer.

Excellent Sta. Rita Hills chardonnay from Liquid Farm! There's some really nice creamy lemon pith on the nose. On the tongue is more creamy lemon, a bit of ripe white peach, a hint of clove, medium acidity and a medium long finish.
