I think these are getting sweeter? Just a couple bottles left from a case, and we are getting farther away from Perrieres, and closer to Aubert? Kind of kidding, but kind of not. Maybe it's all that energy charged OR Chard I've been drinkin of late. Anyway...this is still top notch Meursault here! Sappy orchard fruits, with a drizzle of honey and sprinkled sea salt...SUCH pretty lime/white flower blossom florals...chalky crushed limestone...little more toasted marshmallow...precise and beaming with fresh juiced citrus...dry extract...very broad and mouth filling...even a little oily viscosity. I mean this wine is LOADED with flavor and Meursault-ness...I just wish it had a tad bit more Perrieres and less sweetness...but nitpicking I guess. Would love to try this one in 20 more years!

Served blind. Clearly above all the other whites from tonight, opened by our host Ken. Light yellow in the glass.
Nose of beeswax, cream, lemon, vanilla, lime zest and honeysuckle florals.
Palate of a medium mouth feel, with wonderful acidity, lemon, stone fruit with a lime ending. Ken, this was one of the most beautiful whites I've had in the last 10 years. Thank you for opening this one for us, tonight. Beats the Aubert, hands down.....and I love Aubert!
Killer showing and probably WOTN among a bunch of fun stuff. This has fanned out and is now pretty grand and very Meursault, while still retaining plenty of acid and dry extract. Grand cru presence, class, and length. Everything one could hope for with some more room to improve. My score may be too low.

(Blind tasting) Medium-fullish, complex nose. Very good depth. Densely fruity, almost tropical with hints of pineapple. Gently oaky. A load of wet stone minerality. Very rich after time in glass. Fullish, rich, fat and very fresh palate. Epitome of white Burg. Yellow orchard fruit with tropical hints. Toasty and minerally. Gun-powder complexity. Very long and balanced. Very good concentration and very good grip. WOTN in the small white 2014 1er cru Burg tasting. In it's beginning drinking window.

Excellent Mersault! One of the best white Burgundy vintages. Tasted blind together with William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2017, Jean Bouchard Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2015 and Cullen Wines Kevin John - Australia, Margaret River 2018. Average rating 94/100. Slightly closed nose on the beginning, but it just needed time. As long as it stayed on the glass, intensity and complexity were obvious. Lime zest, orange peel, white flowers. Slightly mineral. Medium to full-bodied. Very long finish.

Whow! Feuerstein, Kieselstein, eher karge Nase.

At Sumi, Noosa Junction. This wine opened initially quite closed and marked by matchstick reduction necessitating a decant and extended time in the decanter. With time the wine revealed a lovely nose of white peach and nectarine with lemon and lime zest and touches of honey and oats. The palate has lovely authority and depth with plenty of zest and drive that persists beautifully. This is a very complete Perrieres capable of years of development under Diam.

This can easily age for longer, but already a great pleasure to drink. Ripe stone fruits along with notes of dried raisins, apricot, flowers, peaches, pastry cream and toasted brioche, and nuanced toasted almond and maybe a bit of hazelnut. Rich on the palate but is nicely controlled and balanced from the delightful acidity and tartness that keeps the wine fresh. If you have some heavier flavored food (noble shellfish, stronger seafood with sauces), do not decant and let the wine develop. It definitely became more complex after an hour, and never lost its stride. A very sexy wine designed to impress.

Good to revisit this after 3 years. Vanilla oak, salty minerals, and citrus. Palate has good weight, size and density with typical 2014 acidity. Compared to three year ago, the oak is more integrated today. Even at today’s price, it is still a very good value Perrieres.

Popped, poured, consumed part of the bottle over the next hour. Lots of promise, fine for drinking now, but this is going to improve and there is certainly more to come with further aging. Second night: This has filled out, integrated, and more nuance has come forward. Good the first night, even better tonight. Benefits from air.

Everyone enjoyed this. It’s drinking perfectly at 7 years, and I’m not there’s any need to age this any more. Peach, lemon, hints of apricot and pineapple, vanilla, whipped butter, honey. It borders on rich without crossing the boundary. Very Meursault, which is a good thing.

«Bold» og breial nese. Kraftig og noe tropisk nese. Honning og kokos. Svær og søt med en del vanilje. For å være 14 er dette på den litt søte siden. Blir noe tacky. Satser på bedre balanse med tid.

Wow what richness in this...almost oily in texture, and sweeter than I expected for a 14 MP. Wonderful ripe white peach, green apple, apricot fruits...pure and fresh with snap...yet with PLENTY of fresh squeeze lemon/lime, crushed rocks CUT! The acidity and minerality really adds super lift and nerve to the ripeness...then you add in tasty complexity of chalky limestone, well integrated toasted marshmallow oak spice, match strike...super rock salt salinity...lime blossom and lees florals. Day two showed less sweetness and even more minerality, citrus, and dryness. Day one maybe 92pts..day two a solid 94! This is a great Meursault...with all the stuffing to go deep imo. +pts

Youthful, fresh and tight yellow fruit brimming from the glass, sharp citrus with faint reduction. Flint and some lemon meringue. Palate is still tightly wound up from with green apple and lemon, lots of power and gaining a bit of depth. Precise. Laser acid on the back palate and burns through a long finish. Technically very strong.

Super fascinating, full of tension and minerality. Explosive notes of lemon pit, lemon curd, flintstone, white pepper, smoke, sweet spices, menthol, also some flowery notes. It's medium-full bodied, with high acidity, excellent depth without heaviness and great mid-palate density. Excellent length. A superb Perrieres that is still super young but so beautiful and full of tension and complexity.

On the nose big yellow citrus, vanilla spice and smoky oak. A certain Bourbon hotness on a fresh pour. Pithy lemon fruit that seems a touch underripe right now. Reductive and quite smoky. A balsa wood dryness. Mostly clean and sharp but hints of lees as well, which is nice and keeps it interesting. On the palate this is impressive upfront with a wallop of yellow fruit, dense and rich, plenty of mineral, but the back end is high acid, almost searingly so right now. Laser sharpness. Still a lot in the way of Granny Smith apple. It’s a striking wine, lots of potential, needs to relax a little.

Light pale colour. Citrus, lemon zest on the nose. On the palate, it got a lot of minerality and salinity, a bit of sea salt even, dense and concentrated. It was not my favourite style of Meursault as I prefer ones with more focused acidity and grip.

Brilliant showing. Precise, laser-focused and crisp, but with nice citrus, minerals, iodine and peach notes. Good sap, but so much acids that it never comes across as flabby. No discernable oak with a wonderful, mouth filling, lengthy finish.

Intense, both on the nose and in the mouth, evident stones and hazelnut at first, followed by ripe apple, peach and mango. Great energy. Ok acidity, but it is more generous than elegant. A bit of yogurt also comes out on the palate and the finish is really long.

This is seriously good. There's a whiff of barrel toast but it enhances the incredibly pure fruit. You get rockmelon, white peach and lemon. There's a suggestion of aniseed and it is voluminous, direct and light on its feet. It has a fabulous minerally spine and grand cru depth and length.

Celebrating 240 years of Bouchard Pere & Fils: master class and dinner (Bouchard Pere & Fils, Beaune): I did not think it could get better than the Genevrieres but it did. Well, let us say that the stylistic differences give every winelover a great choice for either (why not buy both?). This comes across as more precise, with greater verve, and just as much flavor. I suppose time in bottle may give the edge to the Perrieres hence a just slightly higher score.
