Definitely a ‘wow’ wine for me. Gorgeous apple and apricot blossom nose. Medium weight, medium+ acid, finish just keeps going. Delicious at cork pop, and delicious to the last drop, but there was a clear change from apples to more stone fruits with an hour or so. Beautiful wine.

White cdp's are not easy to rate as they are so different from other white wines n the same price segment. This one, from one of the region's most renowned white wine producers, is in the same vein, interesting but elusive, almost enigmatic. Modest aromas of olive oil, hay, honeycoomb, and some peach. Very full bodied, almost like drinking olive oil, low acidity and high alcohol (although this is nicely masked). Fills the mouth with peachy fruit with some olive oil tones, ends almost on a bitter note. I have to admit that I probably lack references to treat this wine fairly, as I am used to more aromatic wines. Perhaps I should drink more wines like this, but I do not think I will prioritize this among all the good white wines out there. I will leave my next bottle for couple of years to see what happens.

Weekly tasting group RWP #314; Mysterious theme: What could be Christmas wines….. (@ VD): This third wine of the flight was the most full bodied and fat wine, with in the bouquet white fruits, anise and pears. On the palate the same fruits, some banana and peach as well, some mineral impressions and also pear. A slight sparkle as well. This is the most intense wine of the flight.

This is really delicious, such a delightful texture, creamy with herbs, nuts and lemony notes, just a touch of VA but nothing frightening. Almost worth drinking young just for all that fresh flavour but you should probably keep it. Very long finish

Vinosphere (Town Hall, Sydney): peachy, rich, bees wax, slight orange. Broad, textured, rich, oranges on the palate along with stone fruit. Long, right with spice. Nice.

Bleakly straw colour with some greenish hints. Very pleasant nose dominated by white peach, nuts and olive oil. Complex. Full bodied, but strangely boring - I do not find a better word - taste: peach and citrus/lime, some oily tones, fine acidity, and medium long aftertaste. We had big expectations for this wine, and we were all slightly disappointed although it clearly is a good wine.

Pale straw. Nose is very lemony, flowers. A tart, sweet, flavorful wine. Very balanced. Great choice for strongly flavored fish. Would overpower a very mild fish.

Blindverkostung mit Freunden. #11 Birne par excellence in der Nase, gepaart mit weißem Pfirsich, weißer Johannisbeere, Ananas, noch grüner Papaya, Banane und floralen Noten. Im Mund eine mittelkräftige+ Säure, körperreich und mit kräftigen aber halbwegs gut eingebundenen 15 Vol.-%. Ein mächtiger Wein mit viel Extrakt. Banane, Papaya, Ananas, Sternfrucht, Würze und Holz. Langer Abgang. Viel zu jung und primärfruchtig. Es fehlt etwas an Trinkfluss und zudem noch an innerer Spannung. Man selbst darf aber gespannt sein. 92+
Blind tasting with friends. #11 Remarkable nose with a lot of white fruit like pears, white peaches, white currant, accompanied by notes of pineapples, greenish papaya, bananas and more floral impressions. The palate is full-bodied, with medium-plus acid and a high abv of 15 % that is mostly well-integrated at this point. A powerful wine with much extract, notes of banana, papaya, pineapple, starfruit, spices and wood on the palate. Long-lasting finish. Way too young, of course, and still dominated by its primary fruit, but quite promising. The wine lacks a little drive and inner tension right now, but there’s enough going on to be excited about in the future. 92+

Rule the Rhone; 10/27/2016-11/3/2016 (Northern & Southern Rhone): Very nice and complex. There's a wonderful spice characteristic here in addition to some of the white fruit and floral - maybe cinnamon? I wasn't totally sure. Beautiful. Young, but drinkable now. Blend of six varietals.

Good clean and reasonably deep fruit but... too young and running hot with High alcohol dominating now. A pleasant wine but no call cigar.
