IWFS Jax: a night of Oregon & Washington (Queens Harbour): Working off of memory here since I really didn't take detailed notes and this was a few weeks ago. This is a wine that I find often on restaurant lists and while it's not my most favorite I find it very quaffable at a reasonable price point. Same impression here. It's drier than some Pinot Gris although I don't think of it as completely dry. Easy. Perhaps could do with a touch more acid. It's a basic wine, but it drinks just fine.

This shows a sense of place. The nose opens to gently honeyed notes of limes, stonefruit, citrus pith, quince, and minerals. Dry, textural, and complex in the mouth, with excellent freshness, spicy vibrancy, and a slight prick to the crunchy fruit flavors. So easy to like.

P: LM body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt deftly balanced by a tangy acidity which controls the action into & through the LONG, tangy/swt (70:30) finish. For now & into EARLY '20, + MIGHT improve a bit through '18. 13.5% ABV; My VG+/EXC-. 91 pts & "Editors' Choice" WE @ $19, 89 Decanter, 87 WA, and Silver @ '18 S.F. Chronicle Wine Comp. [This vendor's $13.99 puts it in the top 15% of wine-searcher's listings.]

Pale amber color. Nice floral nose. On the palate, stones, green apple, and pear come in. Medium-bodied and silky texture, with a honeyed finish. Quite worthy.

Decent Pinot Grigio. Slight off taste on finish. Medium acid compared to others. Pale yellow muted nose. Glad the acid is restrained and fuller than the Albariño I just opened.

I'm with winejunkiewest review below. No formal notes as it was a late night second bottle but my I really enjoyed this AND my wife did as well. That's always a plus because I'm trying hard to get her off the SB and Pinot Grigio dry whites kick before summer and this fits the bill for a nice substitute at a good QPR....$14. Will buy a few more.

Filling in w/the Friday Brown Bag Group (R&D's): Double blind. Opens with a lime-driven citrus note with a touch of grassiness underneath. Turns lemony and less grassy. Bright acid on the palate, but with a heavier texture than I would have expected since my initial thought was sauv blanc. Pretty tasty, and it's sauv blanc like, though clearly not sauv blanc. No guess- this one had me stumped.

No comparison with the insipid Pinot Grigio typically produced in the U.S. This is dry and vibrant with a full mouth feel of mixed tropical fruit with enough acid to hold it together. Great QPR.

Not too fruity; a tad bitter and dry

Very nice nose and the palate has some very nice citrusy flavors but the lingering sweetness is a bit too much for me.

Very pleasant wine. Slightly sweet and a bit tangy. Was best when served cool rather than ice cold. Excellent value.

I didn't take any notes, but enjoyed it enough to purchase 3 more bottles. Very pleasant wine. Perfect for a warm spring day!

I won't rate this one--after two great bottles, this was served a little too warm for my taste. Seemed to lose its edge.

Pale yellow in the glass, expressive ripe fruits, nectarine, sweet lime, note of citrus blossom, balanced acidity. Nice.

Light floral nose with a hint of citrus. Light straw color and clean acid finish. Nicest PG from King in several years.
