The 2017's are fire right now and the Papera is the best bottle that I've opened. Just a perfectly balanced, absolutely delicious, medium + bodied mouthfull of red and blue fruits with a long, acid-filled finish. Well done fellas! Will drink my last bottle within the next year or so as I feel like the 17's are a 'drink now vs. Later' vintage

This was all bramble, raspberry, some strawberry very fruit forward but not excessive. Very enveloping mouthfeel with low acidity and low tannins, this is drinking very nice, medium length finish. Very nice.

Purple in color. 14.5% ABV. Intriguing nose of red fruits, citrus and cocoa. Full bodied with perfect acidity. Rich and voluptuous. There is a funky quality here that is quite appealing. Black cherry, raspberry liqueur, blood orange and pepper on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Absolutely delicious. Best over the next 2-4 years.

Killer bedrock that is starting to enter its drinking window. Still a bit of unintegrated acid, but tannins starting to soften and harmonize with the luscious but high-toned bramble fruit and savory notes. Many layers to this wine, and reminds me why bedrock is the largest holding in my cellar even if I’ve skipped the last 2 releases.

PnP. Nose of black raspberry, blackberry, and aged oak. Racy and strong blackberry pie and ripe black raspberry flacors with a strong backbone of acid, black fruit, tar, and damp earth. The oak clamps down on the finish, adding chewy tannins, loads of raspberry, floral notes, spice, and acidity on the long finish.

Bright red fruit. Cranberry, raspberry, dark cherry. Blood orange zest and cocoa.
Medium body, tart acid profile, with depth and character. This wine shifted profiles as it opened. From a rich, ripe fruit to more secondary and subtlety with air

Opened (but did not decant) for three hours before dinner. Really nice depth along with great rich purple/blue fruit that improved with each glass. Good body and balanced acid and tannins. Very good length on finish.

This needs a lot of air right now. Night 1 on Thanksgiving this was a big goopy mess, and most of a full bottle was still left at the end of the night as everybody preferred other wines.
It was open for 5 hours last night, and 2 hours on night 2, and it's finally found itself and is better.
Here are my notes. Night 1: Having a hard time pinning down the nose, I'd say it has a bit of funk on it. Medium+ in body, with a silky texture. Palate is leaning a tad sweet with a mix of purple and dried black fruit. Finishes with a spicy kick. A bit perplexed by the showing on this one relative to expectations, a bit disjointed all around.
Night 2: Night and day compared to yesterday. Pretty good and settled down. Has some character and complexity, you want to smell it and taste it, unlike last night.

The wine is deep ruby in color with medium intensity aromas of blackberries and raspberries. On the palate, this medium acid wine exhibits blackberries, bright cherries with some plum, licorice and spices. The body is full with soft tannins. Drinking very well now.

Deep, intense, spicy red fruits with a mineral and orange peel finish. Enjoyed this one way more than Evangelho Heritage. More balance and complexity. Drink or hold. Great spot right now.

Very tasty old vine blend. More zin and red fruit character than many of the Bedrock Heritage wines. Supple texture with soft tannins, bright fruit. A little more forward than some so drinking nicely now. Minimal oxidation after 24 hours.

Deep ruby color with a medium body that still shows some richness. Lots of spice and minimal oak. Makes for an interesting comparison with the other Bedrock Heritage wines. Better in a year.

Dark and lush aromas of blackberry, plum, and chocolate. Good complexity on the fruit profile, with some pepper and grilled herbs poking through but pretty intensely fruity. Plenty of up front appeal and freshness though I suspect as with most of the zin blends this will be better at 5-7 years.

Dark purple in color with ruby tinges with really slow “legs.” On the nose, a potpourri of rich, dark, black and red fruits, blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, some currant, boysenberry, bramble style fruits. Really nice and heady. On the palate spicy with dark raspberry twang on the mid palate a little thin at first but the. It really opened up nicely with some leather and woody overtones. The finish was fairly succulent with more dark, blackberry overtones blended with natural elements of wood and spices. Those guys at Bedrock are masters of the field blend. Drink now through 2027.

I am reiterating my notes from December, and adding to it.
Bright red fruits and an acidic presence which immediately hits you on the tongue. At first there was a thin feel of more bright fruit but then the backend spice reminds you that this ain't no simple diagnosis of a thin wine. Quite complex.
Well produced and if I still better today than 4 months ago

Very generous considering how young it is. Black fruits and earth. Half of this bottle got lost in the back of the fridge for the better part of a week - it was still really singing 5 nights in....

Decanted prior to serving. After about 4 hours the wine really opens up with a lovely melange of blueberry, boysenberry, blackberry, and kirsch. Ripe but not jammy, the fruit balances nicely with the spice notes, predominantly from black pepper, and acidity on the palate. Some notes of eucalyptus in the finish. On day 2 more of the black fruit notes are prominent. Saving the rest of mine to open in 3-5 years, but this is delicious now with a little decanting.

dark crimson red with a purple rim. cherry, cooked plum, and a little licorice on the nose. Bright and upfront ripe red fruit on the first sip with strong acid and a warming nutmeg note on the end. Cherry, pomegranate. full finish, and pretty long considering the subdued nature of the wine.

Wow! This was rocking on night one, but more reserved and introspective on night 2. Big black fruits, but red frui highlights. Quite ripe, but acidity is quite sharp and “spiky” keeping this very bright and rather narrow on the palate. Plenty of depth shows up on the finish. Has a flint and graphite character mixed in as well. Impressive. Could use a few years age.

Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Walkaround tasting. Not even close to the quality level of the Pagani 2017 just tasted. Tasty sweet, ripe fruit with moderate intensity. Still, very easy to enjoy now.
