NOSE: Light spices and Wrigley's Spearmint Gum on the nose. Interesting. TASTE: Light body. Dark, tart berries on the mid-palate. Finishes off with a mild mint freshness. Soft moderate tannins and fairly short finish.
An easy drinker. I could see this wine being drank with many different meals or by itself. Not bad at all for $12. I enjoyed trying a Dolcetto. After this, it won't be my last.

Little mint on the nose, some dark fruit, spice. Medium weight, smooth tannins, dry, sour cherry, tobacco. Would probably go well with pasta with vodka sauce.

Odd, closed nose, can't quite make it out Plums, tart cherries, black currant, this is fruit folks..... Pretty good for the price. I would by it again. A nice everyday wine.

Rather simple. "Bursting with plum, blueberry and licorice"? I think not. Notes of tart cherry and some figs. There is a hint of that banana/plum note I get from Beaujolais. Tannins are still from, and the finish is rather short. 84-86 points.

Saturday with the Count and Countess: Deep ruby to violet in color. Bright nose of fig, almond oil and dry cherry. A little simple on the palate but straightforward with nice balance. Fine QPR and an interesting, offbeat everyday-type wine.

Saturday in Queens: QPR ALERT - this is lovely..first notes - i thought it might be gamay, but tasted more like a monastrell from spain. fresh fruit, almound, plum, berries... light body (only 12% alc) richer tannins on finish, great lift from the acidity, figs and raspberry notes.. lovely stuff with food or as a sipper.. A BUY in my book!

Garnet. Not leggy. Cherry nose. Bright, acid cherry and some underlying earth. Tannic, slightly astringent , short finish. Still, fine QPR.
