Very yummy old world style earthy red fruits here. I would have preferred to pull the cork sooner, to catch brighter primary fruit characters. Best to drink within 2-3 of release IMO.

Solid, light rose. 11.3% abv. A lot of tartaric acid crystals in the bottom of the bottle. I would drink these soon. I think the fruit is starting to fade a bit.

Aromas of strawberry, citrus, bread dough, cotton candy, hibiscus with a bit of medicinal herbs on the finish. The wine is mouthwatering and has a silken texture. A very satisfying rose.

With just a little air, this was showing beautiful flavors of freshly squeezed peaches and strawberries. Not sweet tasting like it has residual sugar, but nor is it strongly acidic, mineral, or earthy. This was simply delicious and now I'm waiting on the 2020s.

Paired this with Burrata, roasted garlic, garden cherry tomatoes, olive oil, pesto and Tondo balsamic with chopped pistachios for texture over crostini’s.
The nose is showing; candied, lean, strawberries, cherries, blood oranges, tangerines, raspberries, shades of black cherries, sweet rhubarb, brilliant pink rose petals with some red mixed in, vanillin, watermelon Jolly Rancher, slight herbaceousness, beautiful, saline notes, delicate chalk and sandstone minerality.
The palate palate rushes in juicy, lush and then slides in chalky powder with a slightly waxiness character & near tannin presence. You definitely sense this is made from a hearty grape varietal, like Touriga Nacional. It has beautiful viscosity. rushing cool river acidity. Candied, lean, strawberries, cherries, blood oranges, tangerines, raspberries, shades of black cherries, sweet rhubarb, brilliant pink rose petals with some red mixed in, vanillin, watermelon Jolly Rancher, slight, fresh herbaceousness, saline notes, beautiful, delicate chalk, sandstone & gripping limestone/volcanic minerality. The finish is refreshing, nicely balanced and smartly polished.
I was curious about their Rosé and wanted to try it. However, it will benefit with another one to two years in bottle.

Light salmon pink. Nose waxy melon and peach. Palate some peach cream, a pronounced mineral streak. Light bodied yet at times a striking depth in mouthfeel. Overall showing very well and a notch above most cali rosés

Notes of juicy melon and peach on the nose. The wine leads melon too adding ripe red berries, apple skin and stoney minerals. As it warms there’s a creamy, vanilla note that emerges too, but it remains fresh and bright. Medium acidity. Second bottle consistent with the first, and just a good.

Similar to last time, with lots of peach, watermelon, and lemon pith notes. But on the nose, I'm getting a very distinct smell of bubblicious or big league chew, perhaps a touch of mint like another note here mentioned, and baked peaches. Pretty wild! I don't recall another vintage being this aromatic, but this is also the first time I served it in a burgundy glass. Weightless but tons of flavor, really nice. Let this warm up a bit as it's a bit thin out of the fridge.

Nose of peaches, melon, hints of mint and a bit of minerality. Palate is silky and clean with a slightly astringent finish. Another enjoyable year for AR rose.

This is good stuff. Drank right after an actual Portuguese Rose (Lago Cerqueira, with indeterminate varietals—but surely T.N.??). This was v good: pale copper-pink, complex melon and other fruit flavors, dry & minerally palate. More, please!

The 2019 Arnot-Roberts Rosé Touriga Nacional is pale salmon in color. The nose is filled with melon and tropical fruits. Light bodied, bright, and at 11.3% alcohol, super easy to drink on a hot summer day. Initially, the wine was a bit thing, I found that it filled out with 2 hours of air and was still going strong 6 hours after opening. Consider waiting until late summer to drink.

Beautiful pale pink, light in body with a lovely nose of cantaloupe and stone fruits. Crisp and just slightly tart - underripe peach, lemon, raspberry, wet stone, with a slight herbal note through the finish. Medium acidity. Very tasty. First of six.

Very light transparent rose pink color. Nose slightly waxy, peach and some floral, juicy. Palate light bodied, bone dry; some minerals, stone fruits. Slightly salty tinge.
Day 2, more fruity depth, orange flavor with a rocky mineral tinge.
Very nice, a lovely dry rose with nice balance of fruit and minerals

Always better when bottles are allowed to rest serval week post delivery. Now, it seems more put together and is so enjoyable! Well balanced with broad flavors of strawberry and fresh red raspberry. Nicely balanced acidity too. Just lovely. Such a fun wine to enjoy over the summer. And save a bottle for an Easter ham if you manage to keep one stashed away.

Wow. This has such a puckering acidity to cover an otherwise creamy bouquet of watermelon rind, nectarine, and strawberry leaf. It’s very taut and crisp to sharp on the finish. I like. Maybe my rosé of the year so far. I’ll go back to the well for sure next year

I have been buying this rose regularly for awhile and its one of my favorite domestics.
This year, I too find this bottling to be more fleshly, simply, and less acidic than previous. For my palate, I love these with some age on them. I will hide these for awhile and see what happens hoping for more weight, minerality, austerity.

My favorite "fun" rose. PnP just an hour after the UPS truck dropped it off. I'd compare this more to the 2017 in that it has more pure fruit and less structure, though perhaps a bit less concentration / density at this stage. The 2018 was probably my favorite recent vintage, but this is still quite delicious and joyful. It has all the peach and red grapefruit flavors with a touch of citrus pith and lemon at the end. I would expect this to put on a bit of weight over the next year or so. Worth the price.

Pale coppery pink. Nose bright peach, some strawberries, a waxy note. Palate light, bone dry, kiss of stone fruit. Strong vein of minerality. A fleshy yellow peach note with time.
Probably needs more time to unfurl but nice structure here for a still rosé, shines with richer food as balance.

Fresh sea breeze, melon and citrus on the nose. Early spring strawberry, nectarine, lemon pulp , sea salt and fresh cut herbs run the palate.
A stronger vintage than the 2020, even better with the extra time in bottle. Hoping they are able to make a return to form with the next vintage.
