Oh my, the French do make some nice Chablis! This paired perfectly with Provençal chicken even at 6 years of age. I was afraid it would be oxidized but it has aged beautifully. Aromas of the ocean, minerals, and wet stone. Just lovely!! If it’s in your cellar don’t hesitate any longer.

Three years since my last note, this is still rocking. Popped and poured, it is a delight to drink. This was purchased 3 years ago, (5 cases in total, ) from Costo for a song in the good old days pre bloody Brexit!

No contemporaneous notes. 11th bottle of 12. PnP, consumed over several hours. Very good bottle (better than the last bottle) and a joy to consume. So balanced, delicate restrained fruit, good without food and good with food. A great value - these entry level Chablis were sold several years ago at Costco for about $17-18. The first of several wines (nothing high end) opened and (to me) the WOTN. (89-90).

Pnp. On the nose, immediate aromas of vanilla bean, lemon and banana peel, flint. On the palate, well balanced with good concentration and a decent finish. The acid wasn't quite as high as I was expecting but it is in balance on pnp, which leads me to believe this wont last much longer. Otherwise very good balance of delicate tree fruit and minerals with some oak influence I believe. Very pleasant easy drinker and good QPR. Drink within the next 2-3 years.

We started off Virtual tasting #18 with this Chardonnay, served at room temp and then chilled. The wine has a light, pale gold color to it. The tasters chimed in on the nose immediately with ‘bakery item’ (Brioche), crispy citrus, pear, and someone mentioned buttery. The palate gave us pear, beeswax, citrus, yellow apple, a hint of butter and a touch of minerality. It had a long finish by my clock. Medium acidity was noted and the wine had a nice mouthfeel. The chilled version was far more focused and mineral driven. On the nose we got more citrus but less pear, lemongrass and honey. Arty commented that she smelled ‘fruity pebbles’, Moxie agreed. On the palate there was some butterscotch, lemon and lime, but the overall impression was that it was much more steely and more acidic. I enjoyed the room temperature version better, giving it 92 points as a technical rating. The chilled version was very good and exactly what I was hoping for in a Chablis- citrus, stone, clean and not oaked to hell and back. I think this was one of the better whites we have tried at our tasting group, it appealed to a wider audience. For $24, this wine is a steal that gets 5 stars from me. BTW it came in #66 out of the top 100 in an illustrious magazine last year. Worth stocking up on for sure. I’m planning on finishing the bottle with some Shrimp Alfredo.
Nose - clean, youthful, medium minus intensity, air has not been its friend. Ripe apple, and alcohol. Sadly, there is alcohol burn. The nose is not inviting.initially there was popcorn, kernel, malo smell but that has left.
Palate - better on palate. Dry, crisp, it’s a bit disjointed. There is fruit. Ripe apple. A bit watery. Finish is medium. A little cinnamon. Body is medium minus.
It’s not a great wine. I wouldn’t buy again and think you could do better. I’ll leave it to that.

Pale white in the glass, almost colorless. The nose is oddly reminiscent of buttered popcorn and fresh barn straw in time you pick up some hints of citrus, grass, and blossoms. The first sip draws you in to fresh cut green apples and oysters on the half shell. The backend has a long mineral driven finish that while isn’t offensive leaves you wondering if the next sip will be the same...and it is. This wine was sampled against Henri Bourgeois Sancerre for a planned tasting of under $25 wines. The former won tonight. I would suggest offering this wine with food as there isn’t much character in the bottle to pull it off on it’s own.

This pours very light straw yellow. The nose is medium intensity, low complexity. The classic Chablis nose features fresh cut green apple, lemon zest, crushed rock, and spring flowers. The palate is medium plus in acid, finishing a touch sour and a little abrupt. While not a terribly complex expression this is very drinkable and enjoyable.

Always a great week night chablis. Only way this gets better if the current $22-25 pricing could drop back to the not so long ago $17-19 price and, add a screw cap. But don't tell Fevre, its still a great value at $25.

I'm always impressed by Fevre's village-level Chablis and that includes the Champs Royaux, from purchased grapes. A pretty, Chablisien nose shows green apple, beeswax, and crushed chalk. Crisp and vibrant with bright acidity. Saline finish. A classic Chablis. Good now and for the next few years.

Appearance: pale lemon, green highlights, youthfully bright, medium tearing, no gas nor sediment.
Nose: clean, medium intensity, youthful, lemon, lime, green apple, green pear, white peach, lime leaf, white flower, chalk, oyster shell, wet stone, yogurt.
Palate: dry, medium+ acid, medium body, medium alcohol (13%), medium intensity, medium+ finish, lemon, lime, green apple, yellow pear, peach, lime leaf, white flower, chalk, oyster shell, wet stone, yogurt, honey.
Overall: A representative Chablis, showing a lot of the typical minerality and green fruits; the palate shows a bit more ripeness, with some peach and honey notes showing through, and some noticeable mid-palate viscosity. Overall the balance is really nice and the acid keeps the wine fresh. Not quite as bracing as basic Chablis can sometimes be, this is a nice wine to enjoy on its own, but can also easily pair with food.

This limpid, straw-colored Chardonnay is laden with mineral elements that add a nice balance to a stone fruit, citrus and floral backdrop. Light-bodied, fresh, softly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (13%), it is a crisp white that has excellent mid-palate density and an impressively long finish (especially for a wine in this price range). Drink now-2023.

Light golden in color. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/limes, grapefruit & pears with mineral/flinty overtones, some floral notes, chalky/stony & a hint of honey. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe citrus flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & green apples, chalky, stony, minerals & a hint of honey. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present and has potential for further development with a few more years aging.

P: MF body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish, applish frt met by brisk acidity which elegantly leads the charge into the LONG, tangy/swt finish with just a TAD of very, VERY slight bitterness. Deserves/NEEDS 6 mos or so, then drinking through '23 min. VERY nicely done! My EXC-/EXC, the higher for QPR. [This vendor's $18.95 puts it @ the bottom of wine-searcher's TOP quartile.]

Very solid for the price. Nose of mineral, limestone, lemon peel and sea shell. Very pleasing notes of white fruit, lemon zest and sweet sanity. Excellent.

No contemporaneous notes. Although not quite as good as the last bottle opened of this wine, it was still very appealing and delicious. An excellent pairing with scallops. Very high p to q ratio, drinking well now. Crisp, fruity, acidity.

PnP. Pale yellow. Nose of bright citrus, grass. Very fruity, balanced, nice finish. With airing, mineral develops, some complexity. This is a delicious wine. A winner! (06/27/20)

I fully concur with other recent reviews; this is a delight and such excellent value for money. I was pleasantly surprised how approachable this is. Full of citrus and apple with floral hints pervasive, the nose and palate are well balanced with a satisfying clean finish. 89+

Nose of fresh young sour apples. Really nice acidity and youth but also balance on the palate. This is a really enjoyable, fruit forward wine. Great on its own or with food. Will try to get more.

Balance of citrus and mineral. Not as grass and mineral forward as some but a nice bottle for the price point.

Med aromatics of secondary aromas of lees contact (brioche, yogurt, cheese, yeast) and primary aromas of citrus (lemon), green fruit (green apple, pear), floral (blossoms), and wet stones and minerals. Dry, med+ acidity, med- body, med alcohol, med+ intensity, med finish. Palate reflects the nose with some additional notes of hay, mushroom and funky earth. Very good.

Light-bodied, with fairly understated flavors of apple and lime. I'm thinking they cut it with water... 13% ABV.

With pan-fried scallops, steamed broccoli, rice.
Nice light gold, very clear.
Lemon/grapefruit nose.
Moderate acidity, medium weight, good balance, decent length. Nice wine, went well with the richness of the scallops.

Winebar [1 Rosé, 3 Whts, & 8 Reds] from 07/05/19 + 5 Shared Bottles (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: Flint, minerals, with hints of apples -- & almost a yeastiness?
P: MF body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish, applish frt met by brisk acidity which elegantly leads the charge into the LONG, tangy/swt finish with just a TAD of very, VERY slight bitterness. Deserves/NEEDS 6 mos or so, then drinking through '23 min. VERY nicely done! My EXC-/EXC, the higher for QPR. [This vendor's $18.95 puts it @ the bottom of wine-searcher's TOP quartile.]
