Detailed notes were not possible, but this is a wonderfully complex and satisfying wine. It has a myriad of aromas and flavors, good structure, acidity, tension, a full+ body, and a very long finish, with typical bitter hints. To be paired with a rich meal.

Two weeks to go to start my nothern-southern rhone tour so i opened a Condrieu Cherry 2019 from Andre Perret ! Oh wow what an incredible wine ! Medium golden color. Lots of fruity notes in the nose coming up (lychee, pineapple, white peach). Its full bodied and very concentrated at the palate with freshness and minerality and of course this intense touch of fruits. A little bit of chalk is even tasted. The 2019 Cherry is definitly one of the best Condrieus i tasted so far ! Have to get more of it 😍

Northern Rhone WIMPS (La Trompette, Chiswick): Apricot, florals on tghe nose, full bodied, plump on the palate, some oarnge blossom notes, balanced acids, good length. Quite enjoyed this.

Northern Rhone WIMPS #163 6th April 2023 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Tangerine zest, some rose water and something a little savoury / herby like the roasting juices from a roast chicken when the carving fork emerges and it's cooked - thyme I think. Later some classical apricot kernel as well. Palate is beautifully mouth-coating, broad, rich and more-ish. As it warms its 15% begins to show but a glass of this was lovely - there is enough acidity to contrast everything else.

Showed great with those lovely minerally floral notes (violet, honeysuckle, orange blossom). A real garden of a nose. Pretty unctuous and a tad "hot" ('19 was a warm year in Condrieu), but kept balance.

Very fresh, very precise and linear with the exotic fruit, that one expects from the genre, is only barely visible in the background. A tight fist as of now, this will live a long time, I think - dare I mention the 2004? tasted over four days, this just gets better and better, gaining weigth, keeping freshness 93++ point #Kandestederne

Too young, of course, much too young. Light yellow color with a green hue. Opens up with a nose of green and white fruits, flowers, citrus. Very fresh on the palate, seems like the acidity is up compared to 2018, but on the other hand this is tight and tucked in. Marks of orchard, fennel, green fruit, citrus. Don’t touch this for 5 years, so much more to come.

Was next to the La Doriane same vintage.
Less acidity. Less life less vibrance

This is wonderfully complex and overall a fantastic wine!
On the nose: all I got was peaches and cream, lychees, some vanilla, and star anise.
On the palate: a hint of stone fruit on the palate followed quickly by a potpourri of spices. The length is medium long.

My favourite Condrieu by some measure (see my notes on vintages back to 2007). This is beginning to drink tremendously well.

Lush and oily texture which carried its stone fruit flavour. Finish was pleasantly bitter and very long. Delicious with chicken and apricot tagine

Unusually sweet without typical Condrieu flavors.
