Giving this the same rating as the last time I tried it, a 2017. This 2019 was from half bottle. It was a little different that I remember, most notably more earthy/green, with a bitter coffee/slightly dank herbal twinge accompanying very very ripe, very black fruit that veers toward "jammy" but stops just short of goofiness. Some acidity, not too flabby, not a lot of energy either; tannins are present without being in the way. It's a pretty fun and expressive profile; not very harmonious, but enjoyable and not egregiously overdone. I think there are many better US Cab Sauvs around $30-$35, but also many, many worse ones.
Deep purple and garnet color. Rich dark chocolate and ripe plum aromas and restrained oak. Rich chocolate, bing cherry and ripe plum on the palate too. Medium tannins and a soft long finish. Pretty well integrated flavors.

On the nose, I can smell the alcohol right away. Very fruit forward with notes of strawberry, ripe plums, blackberries, along with oaky and leathery notes including chocolate and vanilla. This is quite heavily oaked, but I wouldn’t say it is completely overly done. It is fairly integrated.
On the palate, right off the bat it is quite acidic and medium plus tannic. It is very fruit forward and jammy as well; similar to the nose, strawberries, blackberries, ripe plums from the get go, along with black pepper notes. Medium plus peppery spicy finish.
This is not a bad wine at all, but it is overall quite one dimensional and not very complex. The palate is not overly dominated by the oak, which is great news for me.

One of two 2019s purchased this week (I find I also have a 2018), not something I would want to drink everyday but pretty full and round and pruny, good structure, very extracted and unlike one comment says not a food wine, we found it nice with a grilled ribeye, crusty baguette and zucchini and cherry tomatoes on the grill.

Served by the glass in United Polaris from Sydney to Los Angeles. Very very deep purplish magenta color. Blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, brown sugar, and spent black tea bag. Smooth, dry, palate, with good acidity. Firm tannins on the medium long finish.
This wasn’t great, but it was better than I expected. It’s highly extracted, but has surprisingly solid structure.

Restaurant pour chosen from a list of unknown wines but jumped out at me bc of the Paso Robles tin city documentary. It was also comparatively better / more structured than the Rootstock I was offered to try. On the pale side. Nose had some complexity of currant blackberry, vanilla and cedar. Still very young. Palate less complex and more muddled. Mediums all the way through perhaps med- finish. Drink now. Not my cup of tea. Lacking in sophistication and nuance although tolerable.

Nose: raspberries and blackberries; chocolate-covered coffee beans; some vanilla; plums.
Palate: med. acidity; moderate tannins; black fruits; cocoa powder; slight herbal flavor (sage?); finish is medium and a touch bitter
Overall: A decent wine. I slightly preferred the smell to the taste. If you want a well-made California Cabernet that doesn't cost a ton, this fits the bill. I have had similar quality Cabernet-based wines at a lower price from Washington, Chile, and Bordeaux, though. For my preference, I would probably choose a similarly-priced Cru Bourgeois over this, but this is still good.

Drank 20 minutes after opening. Deep magenta color. Nose: bubblegum and dark bing cherry. Medium tannins. Acidity: medium. Body: light/medium. Taste of sugar berries, cherry and currant, moderately dry.
Pair with a fat-A steak.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, cherry and melon. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Very sappy fruit and quite simple overall. My palate has evolved, and I think Justin has devolved, over the past 5 - 7 years. I used to think this was very solid for the price, but it’s not even a reasonable QPR now.

Nose is simple yet enticing; jammy blackberries, blackcurrants, and vanilla.
Palate is medium-full bodied with ripe black fruits and some oak followed by round, fine tannins. Acidity is adequate enough to keep the wine from falling a bit flat. Finish is medium in length with the overtones of black fruit sounding throughout. Wine seems to be a touch restrained, holding back what could've been more jamminess.
It is a simple wine, and it shows off the ripeness of the grapes in Paso Robles and CA's Central Coast's hotter climate. However, the wine does convey a sense of knowing what it does best, and it does a good job delivering the jammy fruit with a decent enough structure while remaining dry.
A generous 89 points from me.

Always amazes me how a wine can vary so much from vintage to vintage. The 2018 was trash while this was a substantial upgrade. Very dense with heavy notes of cherry and oak. Easily can benefit from some time in the bottle or simple decanting. Finish was strong on tannins slightly acidic which I feel will mellow with time. Major upgrade!

While I am a big fan of Justin's Isosceles and Justification bottlings, especially older vintages, I do not get the same satisfaction with their Cabernet Sauvignon. It's plump, full bodied, and tasty, even, but it's also full of sweet, New World fruit and a thick, chewy texture that I don't particularly enjoy. Should I let these age? Am I drinking them too young?

Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged for 14 months in American oak (25% new), Justin's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is an opaque ruby wine that delivers aromas and flavors of morello cherries, dark bramble fruits, anise, bittersweet chocolate and cinnamon. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (15.0%) and with medium-weight, sweet tannins, it adds a subtle note of eucalyptus that can be attributed to the American oak. Dense on the mid-palate and medium in length on the back end, this is an enjoyable, well-priced Cabernet that will have broad appeal. This particular bottle was uncorked, poured and consumed over the ensuing three hours, seeming to significantly benefit from the first hour of aeration. Drink now-2034.

Ruby red color. Medium bodied, soft tannins. Lots of fruit with plums, cherries, raspberries with some vanilla. One dimensional, but seems like this would be a reasonably priced crowd pleaser for the undiscerning wine drinker.
Juicy, fruity, round, and rich, with some savory hints and chocolatey tannins showing up in the (not super long) finish. Punches well above its price class--definitely a winner!

I would consider this as a deep purple colored wine that has some slow moving, thick legs in the glass. The nose reeks of ripe, sun-drenched California Cabernet. Blackberry, blueberry, black plum, coconut, vanilla, baking spices, eucalyptus, cassis and purple licorice. The palate is dry with grippy tannins that I would call medium (+) in intensity. Juicy acidity makes my jaw water and the full body on this wine coats my mouth with rich black fruit, spices and oak that is deftly worked in there. This is a delicious wine folks. It has an astringent yet short finish that may cost a point but this wine is very balanced overall and will pair beautifully with hearty game dishes, rich stews or a fatty cut of Ribeye on the grill. I'm going with 92 points and would drink this $23 wine till 2030. 5 stars for this level of quality at that price. Loving it.

Ruby red color. Medium bodied, soft tannins. Lots of fruit with plums, cherries, raspberries with some vanilla. One dimensional, but seems like this would be a reasonably priced crowd pleaser for the undiscerning wine drinker.

Drank on steak night. Full bodied, a bit hot, and a lot of oak. Good pairing with ribeye and sirloin.

Juicy, fruity, round, and rich, with some savory hints and chocolatey tannins showing up in the (not super long) finish. Punches well above its price class--definitely a winner!

Dark fruit with cherry coming through most predominantly. A big wine and has a nice smooth finish. It tastes like a more expensive Cab and is a very good value. Pairs very well with a nice steak.

Loving it.

Big and juicy black fruits. Hedonistic alcohol concentration. One dimensional wine but very tasty. For $25, good QPR.

Like in the 18' the wine once again has loads of acidity. Flavors start with cherry fruit and continues to unripened plum and some red pepper spice. I found it almost unripened in fruit-flavors.
