Drink now. Decanted and let breath for two hours. Flavors migrated from raspberry with some dark fruit to citrus, after around three hours peach became the prominent flavor, then back to citrus. Fun wine!

Ripe blackberry, bramble, plum, chocolate, coffee, coconut, kiss of vanilla. Fruit forward, without being overripe or jammy. Fruit is nicely balanced with fresh acidity and moderate fine grained tannins. Heavy body and a long finish of fruity single origin chocolate. Not a lot of depth, but we'll made and very good.

From Turley: “…lovely from the very first pour, showing ripe red fruits, florals, warmed spices, and excellent freshness. Smooth, lithe, and satisfying on the palate, with a hint of texture and supremely well-integrated tannins. Juvenile always sets the standard for classic California Zinfandel…”

Purple in color. Concord grape and blackberry on the nose. Vegetal notes combine with red and black berries in a jammy, full-bodied palate with a slightly tannic finish.

Excellent go to wine for everyday drinking. Have already gone through two cases of this cuvee and cannot beat the dependability and value. My notes from before stand true every time. Remember though. This wine tastes a lot different when served at about 60 degrees versus when served warmer. I think those raters who pegged this cuvee in the 80s have yet to appreciate that.

On the nose- Big red fruits, red cherries, red raspberries, dark cherries, blueberries, blackberries, plums, red flowers, black pepper, milk chocolate, wild herbs, oak, vanilla
On the palate- Big red fruits and red cherries, red raspberries and dark cherries, blueberries and blackberries, plums and red flowers, black pepper and milk chocolate, wild herbs and oak with a hint of vanilla on the finish. This wine is drinking fantastic now being super young, it did well on PNP but after an hour wow is it singing. The finish is super lush and smooth with nice acidity. The fruit just jumps out on your palate and is super pure and lush and hides the 15.2% alcohol super well. This wine is drinks well with about an hour decant and will age another 5-7 years if not longer with no problem at all

Lots of battles in my head about what to open for Boxing Day to start the evening with guests. A pleasant memory of Blackberry Farm inspired Turley. Young and vibrant. Really bright and tart. More so than normal for this bottling in other vintages. Pronounced cranberry. White pepper. Lots of fruit. The usual suspects for the bottling, yet it tastes different. This powerful wine went straight to my head. Stellar QPR. Zero guilt pouring Turley at $20 before tax and shipping. It shows and drinks well, and there is no pain from serving those who do not care about what they imbibe.

I wanted something big and strong tonight, so I opened Turley to accompany stress, the cold, and Artic char. My first smell reminded me of Italian wine that my father would open and drink when I was growing up. My first sip reminded me of English breakfast tea, not raspberry tea or even Snapple (like usual). There is some tartness, but it is not overbearing. This is a great cold weather wine, with some unexpected dryness on the finish. There is a lot of fruit too. The value really cannot be matched. It was $20 direct before tax and shipping. My question: how? Larry is unreasonably generous. Buy by the case!

Raspberry and cranberry notes lead the way, with nicely integrated oak and hints of bramble weaving in. 15.2%, but there's an elegance here that belies the alcohol. Solid QPR.

Red cherries, cinnamon on the nose. Palate is quite nice. Tannins are pleasantly (surprisingly) soft, fruit is ripe but not overripe. The alcohol is THERE but not overpowering. A very thoughtful Zinfandel. I’d like just a touch more acid.

This opaque ruby wine was uncorked and serially sampled over three hours. Stabilizing aromatically after the first hour in carafe, it offers a restrained package of dark plum and raspberry fruit that is accented with notes of mulling spices, licorice and black pepper. Full-bodied, low-to-medium in acidity, lightly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (15.2%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. The medium-weight tannins are supple in texture and the middle palate is solid. Finishing with medium length, this is an enjoyable Zinfandel but lacks the intensity of many previous vintages. Although there are no typical signs of smoke taint, it makes one wonder if smoke exposure was responsible to some degree for the muted aromas and flavors. For that reason, I would favor consuming this sooner rather than later. Drink now-2024.
purple with a garnet rim berry , bramble. on the nose and a hint of blue fruit. some stone and spice. on the palate medium acidity and medium mouthfeel. tannins are slightly present but not prominent.. acid and pepper on the finish which lingers..call it a longish finish.. for price this is a winner as always.. drink now to 2025.. dont think it will hold up much longer than 2025

Purple in color. 15.2% ABV. Sublime nose of red fruits, peach and baking spices. Medium body with ample acidity and notable balance. Packed with bright, juicy fruits. Cherry, strawberry, raspberry and pepper on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Charming Zinfandel that is an absolute steal at $20. Best over the next several years.
