Dark reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruits aromas of cherries, plums & cassis with overtones of floral notes of violets & dusty/earthy notes, spices, mocha, graphite, tobacco, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with herbs, minerals, spices & vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. An indicative blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot.

Well made. Intense purple flowers, sandalwood, juicy blackcurrant, graphite, toasty sweet oak, creamy, savoury earth. Medium bodied, good focus, distinct mocha, graphite and dusty and some tarry character. Finishing short though.

From 375ml. Dark fruited and sleek, quite polahed with a lactic quality. Rather dense and concentrated but well balanced. Quite young obviously but has good stuffing.

Flowers, dark, red pit fruits, mint, and just a hint of chocolate create the perfume. The wine is silky, fresh, plush and polished with an elegant, vibrant finish that does not want to quit. This is already stellar in your glass, and with some time in the cellar, it is only going to get better with age. Drink from 2024-2047.

Tasted at the UGC at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Very, very nice. Well concentrated with powerful red and black fruits, unobtrusive oak, and the most silky, sensual mouthfeel of any wine tasted that night, bar none. Not a wine in the house could match it on that account. I’ve never had a wine feel this refined on the palate. 13.5% ABV (great; distinguished/****)

At the UGC Chicago. Nice fruit fragrance, Cabernet fruit, oak on the palate though some drying tannins. Moderate finish 5 seconds. Strength of the wine is an elegant silky structure. Overall very enjoyable and should only get better with age.

Ausgesprochen duftig.

2027-2040 (April/Mai 2021) vvWine.ch

Dark garnet with purple around the edges, the wine pops with spearmint, vanilla, spice, black, red and blue fruit on the nose. Plush, soft and silky, round and full-bodied, the layers of ripe, polished fruits that coat your palate do not want to quit. This is a solid vintage for Preiure Lichine. 93-95

Very deep appearance. Good nose: some oak, darker fruits and a little graphite definition, attractive blackcurrant and raspberry, cool. Some density and concentration, nice texture with some (savoury) oaky touches. More black fruits, this is fine with supple tannins and good purity.

Dark fruits, fresh acidity, yet quite tannic structured. Laurel leaves. Structure that will require time, some alcohol in the finish.
