JYS makes the best point about this wine. I believe this is an extremely variety correct version of Pinot from Eola Amity Hills. Tart cherry, black cherry cola, basil, raspberry licorice. Not an overbearing amount of black pepper on the finish, but just enough to make it the great pairing with dark chocolate that has been baked with herbs de Provence almonds. I have had a couple of Pinot from Cristom in the past, and none of them have been remotely as enjoyable compared to this one. Enjoyed from a 375, I think this one already had integrated a little bit and was really quite ready to go out of the gate.

Tasted this wine at the Maximilian Riedel Wine Experience at Marina Bay Sands hosted by Cellarmaster Wines.
Beautiful red fruit with cherries and strawberries. A touch of spice, followed by vanilla, chocolate, with soft juicy tannins. Towards the finish the spice showed up again.
A very interesting and complex wine.

Simply fantastic, and one of the best QPR options for sub-$50 Pinot. Might be closer to a 95 on my scale if you find it in the $30 range (it's often closer to $40-$45.) Maybe it could have been a little more expressive overall, but it's also very young, and was quickly shared with a group (before it could really blossom.) Gentle but present on the nose with super-textbook Pinot scents of fresh black cherry, stony minerals, and maybe some floral shades. *Extremely* subtle baking spices from the oak- the dark, fresh fruit is definitely the star. Exactly the same on the palate, with a nice echo of the minerality returning on the finish. Right in the middle of Willamette Valley styles; not a super-perfumed and bright red fruit style, but not muddled, austere, or overly-extracted either.

I don't drink Oregon Pinot Noir often enough, this was a beautiful treat! Bought a half bottle to try Cristom out and now really curious to try more! Light ruby red. The nose had cherries, strawberries and tea leaves. The palate followed. Beautiful red fruits, a touch of earthy tones. A lot of energy coming out of this wine, very vibrant and zesty? Very good
I didn't like the first glass but the 2nd day it seemed to open up and have more nuance and less initial bite. Overall tasty pinot noir but still prefer Goldeneye Duckhorn pinot noir.

medium bodied dark ruby with candied pastille cherry, blueberry, and pomegranate. some baking spice comes into play mid-palate. ample acidity keeps the fruit bright. the wine is aromatically explosive after just a few minutes in the glass. just a small hint of oak. finely crafted, well balanced and finishes long and strong. this is their entry level wine but you would never know it. a super value from a great year.

Ganska vegetabila/örtiga aromer initialt som övergår till körsbär och sen en parfymerad sötfruktighet, kanske en svag ton av undervegetation någonstans i det hela. Len och fin struktur, välbalanserad. Liten beska. Ganska primär i smaken. Drack över 4 dagar. Påminde nästan om en cab franc dag ett, lutar mer mot seriös bojo cru än bourgogne med lite luft.

Very young and primary, with a bit of a candied aspect to the bright, tangy cherry fruit. A bit of a ripe-stem herb-spice note, and light ferrous minerals. It’s soft, needs a bit I more acid, and lacks focus. Finished with friendly tannins and some musky undertones. Probably upside with 2-3 years.

Ripe fresh understated raspberry, blueberry, boysenberry, and light vanilla, tomato leaf and nutmeg. With some air, the flavors become a little blended, and light oregano and charred wood emerge. Color: Medium ruby with purple rim. Tannin: M, light powdery plush texture that gently accumulates on the gums. Acid: M+, and could provide even more vitality. Body: M. Concentration: M+. Complexity: M/M+. Intensity: M+. Finish: M. Very good. Suitable for aging, and I should have given it at least five years and up to twelve to have the right blend of both primary and tertiary flavors, and preferred complexity. I like the producer. QPR may be a little low on this one.

The medium-high intensity nose offers attractive aromas of red and dark cherry, tea leaf, sour cherry, and mulberry notes joined by savoury earth, and wood spice notes in a complex profile. All of the aromas come through very nicely on the medium-full bodied, well-structured, and balanced palate. It has very smooth and silky tannins, very good acidity, and excellent length on the tight and somewhat youthful finish.

Tasting event sample. Black cherry on the nose. Black cherry, plum, cola, and cranberry with decent acidity. A touch of streaky green transitions awkwardly into a short finish. I imagine this will perform better after breathing for a few hours.

Solid producer and solid entry level wine from Cristom. Drinkable now but on the young side. Some pepper and green stem characteristics on the finish. This will get better with a few more years in cellar to integrate.

This is pretty bad. So so acidic and behind that is muddled, basic fruit I’d expect in a Pinot Project. Absolute waste. Was not flawed. This can definitely benefit from age with the acidity so idk why these get released wayyy before they are meant to be had because they will inevitably make it on a wine list somewhere and wreck havoc

Medium ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & blueberries with overtones of spices & floral notes, earthy/dusty, minerals & a slight touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, strawberries & blueberries with spices, earthiness, minerals & a touch of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & may develop further with additional aging.

Again, Cristom is my favorite new world producer of Pinot Noir. Mt Jefferson is their low end wine. Worth a point or two less than the legendary "four ladie's" vineyards, this is almost as good for half the money! New world fruit with Burgundian style. Well balanced. Drink or hold.

Pnp, Friday second pour after a sparkler. Restrained red fruits, diluted cherry coke. Very tight wine at this point which seemed to open up with more time in glass. Seems to need more time in cellar, 2-3 years or at this point a strong decant if drinking at this time.

Pretty deep ruby color. Still young a pretty primary, this is showing notes of blue and dark berries, also some strawberries, witb some more air also brighter red fruit like cranberries, some dark chocolate, herbal whole-cluster notes, some sweet spices too, as well as some bitter almond. It‘s medium+ bodied, with very good persistence, there is also very good freshness with medium+ acidity and just some medium- tannin adding grip too. Pretty long finish. A very nice Pinot Noir, that seems to be holding back a little bit right not. I would give this another 2-3 years in bottle to integrate the oak and whole cluster a little bit. Lovely.

An exuberant light purple. Smells of baking spice and oak with some concentrated fruit below, along with some woodsy herbs. Palate is bursting with juicy black cherry, actually comes off less ripe than the nose, quite tart and sticky. Ok to drink as a baby; some good stuffing here that will have this in a nice spot in 3-5 years, too.
