Ultra clean, orchard fruit, some stone fruit. Very fresh and lively with a little singed sugar. Medium weight, actually quite instructive for a 1ere of this age. Good bottles have many years of life ahead

Very nice, not tired. A bit lighter on the tongue and more accessible than in the past, for those who like their 1er Chablis in this phase of development (I do). Best for drinking in small sips, for best flavor and aromatics.

Extremely fresh and slightly plump with Chardonnay fruit, but deliciously sour and intense. The relative ripeness at this age bespeaking the excellent exposure and lay of the MdT vineyard. An excellent bottle of 10-year-old 1er Cru Chablis with, I estimate, a decent stretch of lifespan still ahead. Good vineyard, good vigneron, good year, good wine.
Finished the last of it a few days later: still excellent. One of the best Chablis I've opened in a long time, along with 2002 Moreau Clos.

Much, much better showing than my last bottle from 9 months ago. This is pure and energetic Chablis with interesting orange blossom note on the nose and good cutting minerality on the palate.

tasted over 3 hrs -translucent pale yellow-green -restrained slightly waxy sea breeze lemon -med+/high acidity, med- weight loaded with dry extract that gives impressive intensity, mid-palate mostly dominated by minerality and saline with hints of residual lemon, OK complexity -drinking well now without a trace of prem-ox

Nothing wrong with this wine - balanced, fresh and mineral - true to its terroir, but very uninspiring and generic. Maybe I caught it in a dumb phase. Was expecting more.

light green colour, nose very taut and unforthcoming. Very steely mineral on palate not revealing much fruit. Very austere and not like previous bottles. Nothing wrong with it just very dumb.

Medium yellow. Beautiful aromatic progression from sea breeze to lemon to guava and more tropical fruit. Medium body, seemingly more density than that. Glycerine, rich entry that transitions to swirling acidity and stone on the finish. Another tremendous showing for this wine, balancing rich fruit with impeccable structure although I must say that with each additional hour of air, the brothy, rocky elements become increasingly prominent, and the wine takes on a leaner feel.
On the second night, still perfectly fresh, terrific limestone. More apple quality to the fruit. Very impressive Premier Cru Chablis.

Light yellow. Thrilling combination of herbs and sea breeze. Medium weight with typical 2008 sense of density and an absolutely gorgeous feel without overtly oaky signature. Subdued green fruit, iodine, salinity, soil, and tingly acidity. A tremendous, beautifully balanced Premier Cru that is drinking beautifully now. Now this is Chablis!

Had a not so good bottle of this wine over the course of 3 nights. First two nights were Coravin pours. I thought of lack of air as an explanation but probably not really the case. Last time I had this wine was 9 months ago and it was showing very well. Classic Chablis with good precision and detail. This bottle didn't show the same balance. Alcohol was a bit excessive. Finish had a sweetness that could be associated with unintegrated wood. Having had this several times while still young (3 years ago) I know excessive wood is not an issue in this wine. My conclusion is that this was a bad bottle. Based on my experience with the one I opened 9 months ago, the wine seemed ready, but could benefit further from cellaring. I will open this again in one year and see what;s going on. Anyone curious about this could help by also trying one :)

91 pts

Lemon-green and quite youthful in appearance. Fragrant nose with citrus, ripe apple, stony minerality and no evident oak. A combination of creaminess from lees contact and mineraliy on palate with lively acidity and fantastic extraction. Overall well-defined, elegant with ageing potential to be enjoyed over the next decade.

Momo peaches, crushed minestrone, shishio, rock minerality but carried by a waft of sweet tangerines. Just a drop of butter richness at the end but very clean still. Lots of lime and lime skins actually.

This came in a Christmas hamper, so I had low expectations, but I was stunned at how good this was. Bright acidity and energy. Complexity in 3 dimensions. It isn't classic Tonnerre (more tropical notes on the palate than I'd expect) but I really enjoyed the flavor profile. Great rocks through the core and finish.

Light-medium straw with greenish glint. Young and very correct on the nose. A steely and salty element backing the crisp fruit. Medium bodied but narrow and discreet on the palate. Lovely acidity and a real sense of precision. Nothing that says "fruit", only chablis terroir. Decent length. Will evolve for quite some time yet as this is still a baby. Classic and textbook in every way.

Lovely Chablis! Typical '08 with lots of minerality, citrus and fruit content. This is very pure. Great structure and balance. Obviously young and full of potential. Kept evolving in the glass. Had another bottle after drinking this more casually on New Years. Medium+ finish. I think this is great value and an amazing wine to have from now through the next 3-5 years.

The barest whiff of rainwater greets the nose and in fact one’s first impression is that the wine is quite neutral, its not. If you let it come to you it is enchanting. There are some citrus blossom, fennel, straw and iodine. In the mouth it has some fat but there’s serious line and squint inducing grapefruit acidity. This is transparent, rocky Chablis that will delight the purist.
