  Gift from G, pnp, soaked cork which broke, wine with similar flavours to 99 drunk alongside, just a bit more rustic and heavy handed, seemed to put on weight and freshen in glass though began to fade slightly after 40 minutes, proper wine but clearly in downward phase so drink up. VGI (17).

  Chez G, still drinkable with pleasure if clearly over the hill, dense flavours and slightly burly tannins still evident, bouquet of leather, beetroot and earth with maybe a hint of bramble, chewy, suspect this was always a bit of a tannic bruiser without the grace of the much loved 64. EB. Not fair to mark.
