Simple grapefruit aromas, low acid and lacks refreshment factor now, with a bitter note sitting heavy and unbalanced on the midpalate. After one glass, couldn't be bothered with it anymore and poured the rest down the sink.

fully mature. never had a rose that old before. was more interesting than enjoyable. color was dark than normal for this wine. nose had a hint of oxidation but still had fruit present. acid had diminished.

Steve makes Brisket; 9/9/2018-9/11/2018 (Steve and Jennie's): This was a real treat to try, as I've never had an older Tempier Bandol rose. The difference is evident. Some freshness has been lost, and there is a lot more depth. The fruit is rounder and richer. There is a touch of oxidation, but not much, and at this stage, it adds interest. The person who brought this wine believed that this was about as long as you want to keep this wine, and I could agree with that.

Mature but still fruit left. Complex but drinks well now and shows the storage potential for Tempier Rose.
