  • Beautiful roses and stones. As good as ever.

  • Meaty, complex nose, cheese, heaps of barnyard, blood orange, tangerine, and strawberry. More blood orange and juicy golden peach on the palate, and a pretty rose-gold color. Damn that's funky! In a good way, like an andouillette, you just can't stop sniffing. Slowly though, the funk fades in glass, and is replaced with more peach and a light rose petal, along with cantaloupe and watermelon candy. And yet... it still smells a bit like hogshit, in a good way. I swear I mean that in a good way.

  • It was clear from the start that the 2021 Tempier Rosé needed more time than usual, and in its third year it is starting to deliver. The reduction, quite marked at release, has receded considerably, and the customary fruity (watermelon, strawberry, peach, cantaloupe melon) and floral aromas are really starting to shine; the palate displays succulent fruit (especially at a slightly elevated temperature - I recommend it), and the minerally energy, balance (13% ABV) and silky elegance are impeccable; convincing and complete finish with very good length. An excellent vintage for Tempier Rosé. Glad to have a full case left for summer 2024, and it will certainly age well if there is anything left by autumn...

  • A little bit of a nutty note on the nose. Citrus peel, watermelon, strawberry, and stone fruit. Good salinity. Decent complexity but still refreshing. Light body, medium acid, medium finish with fruit.
