Wow. Best showing of one these bottles yet. Classic aromas of tar and roses with what is now very high toned cherry fruit. The super fine tannins coat the tongue and gums while the acid keeps everything lean and sharp. There is a lot of high toned cherry fruit behind the herbal and floral bits. Not even the beginning of any stewed notes, but it feels like those must be right around a near corner. Texturally on point, the most elegant presentation to date. Absolutely singing tonight. Only one bottle of 3-4 cases left and it may still have better days ahead. Drink now and hold for further development. Likely to drink this next winter to preserve the strength and freshness of the fruit. Couldn't ask for more texturally.

Delicious and ponderous in the glass after 16 years being laid down! We loved this Nebiolo with some braised short ribs and smoked mushrooms. We have had the 2003 vintage five years prior and it still was rough around the edges. As much as this has mellowed over its time in the bottle it had plenty of body, complexity, structure, and deep dark berry fruit to endure a big meal.

Loads of iodine, nice nose of sandalwood, leather, cedar, hint of mokka... Loads of fresh tannin, drying tannin, loads of fresh red berries, will be better with food
