Acquired a taste for Tempranillo after a 3 day visit to Rioja region Oct of 23. Drank some impressive wines. Upon return purchased some aged juice on auction hence this review. The Imperial Reserva is drinking well at this time with some dark fruit remaining on the nose and a nice very well balanced mouth feel, consistent complexity with a nice medium long finish with some backbone. For me ideal drinking for $45...cheers

Had last week-solid nose of crushed currants and black berries with a mix of blueberries, earth, muted spices with a balanced combination of acid, tannins, and herbs. Palate of balanced fruit berries, orchid black stone fruits, black olives mixed with a long currant finish. Great wine, but could spend more time with aging in bottle-5 more years

Dang, VGS and phenomenal value...great balance of fruit, acid, texture and herbs. Quality is so solid, maybe even under-rating, and see ample upside potential from a few more years as this is only going to get better over the next 3 - 5+

Popped on 11 Feb. Very good on open, but no detailed notes. On the counter for a few days before it got put in the fridge. Opened again today 18 Feb. Wow. Lovely dense mulberry leaf and spicy red fruit. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density. Long, elegantly tannic finish. This has a very, very long life ahead.

No notes taken but really drinking well. Beautiful red fruit sweet/sour and oak integration. Will go for at least 5-8 yrs at this level
