Excellent fruit with attractive spice. A deep, complex, very long palate with plenty of soft acidity and mature tannin. Well worth keeping to this age to allow it to show its strengths. Good with food and equally rewarding on its own. 89+

Another year of development and it showed good red and black fruits and some spice on the nose, as before. Juicy acidity and tannins meant that it was good with food. Afterwards, not so good; the acidity and tannin seemed too prominent and gave the palate a slightly ‘hard’ edge. Note. After 24h+ the dark damson fruit was more forward and the acid/tannin softer and better balanced. I have raised my score by a point. We tasted another bottle in late September 2023 and, given 2-3 hours to open and soften a little, it was excellent both with food and, later, on its own. Half a bottle was at least as good next day. This wine has legs. 89+

Drank this with my spouse at Cameron Highlands Resort, Cameron Highlands.
Dark purple in colour with notes of black currants. Some blueberries, milk chocolate and liquorice. Definitely needs food to bring out the best in the wine.
Was hoping for a bit more excitement from The Footbolt. Lacks the intensity, concentration and complexity to be a great wine.

Very tasty Shiraz. Medium body and pure, dark fruit flavors. Would buy again for sure.
