Served blind. I tried to guess with Morey Saint Denis high level village. Well, actually the nose is on the typical pinot notes and especially the black fruits. The mouth shows big complexity for a village level and is followed by a medium long finish. Day 2 with a lot of sweet spices, it needs more time to evolve. However we are on the muscles’ rather than the grace side.

Decanted for a few hours. Ripe, black cherry infused nose that with air displays a deep stemmy/spicy enemy. Big and fairly burly palate for Chambolle, ripe fruit, some chalky soil and a long juicy finish. Comes across as more Gevrey than Chambolle, but well made and hedonistic if perhaps not the most elegant wine.

Pretty fabulous for a village level wine. Deep garnet color, aromatically open at this stage, with notes of dark fruits and cinnamon spice. All the power of the house style, combined with some detailed layers and enduring finish, great weight and polish makes this a formidable appellation wine. Bravo!
Super reductive at first. Needed a decant, but after 30-40 minutes it became lovely. Delicate and crystalline tart red fruits with plenty of Chambolle earthiness with an iron shavings streak running through the wine. Fine grained tannins and bright acidity give the wine a lovely structure. Delicious bottle.
ABV: 13.5% Decant: 40min Stem: Glasvin Expression

Fantastic fruit and nice nose - tasty to drink now. Keeping this will be rewarding though as it matures and becomes a bit more complex.
