Nose of cranberry, blueberry, vanilla, sandalwood and dried leaves. Flavors of blackberry, bay leaves, cranberry and ginger. The fore palate is sweet and inviting, but the mid palate is tart and red, heavy on the cranberry and the finish is a little spicy and hot (14.5% alcohol). Despite being in its 5th year it still comes across as disjointed, hopefully more cellar time will help.
With air this integrated nicely. Still, more red fruit dominant, I prefer my Malbec black and blue.
