C: light straw, bright, clear. N: full, fresh, ripe, classic Chablis nose with flint, v good fruit T: light body, rounded, v ripe yet taut, good fruit/acidity balance, flint, long finish, dry yet rounded, almost saline with flint notes. Overall, obviously still a baby but what a pleasure.

At Vagabond, City, London. This honestly drinks like a Grand Cru, or at least not far off. Flinty-reduced nose with a touch of apple jam. Round and generous in the mouth. Gorgeous fresh-apple profile. Mercifully restrained acidity (perhaps a little too restrained in the middle?). Pleasantly bitter, pithy finish. Some upside for a few more years in the cellar, but I don’t think it will be very long-lived. Really nice. 92-93

Pale lemon color. Medium aromas of lemon, wet stones. High acidity, medium alcohol, light body. Pronounced flavors of lemon, apple, wet stones, minerality galore. Long finish. A beautiful wine. Bought another bottle after tasting this one!
