To my surprise, this bottle was still drinkable! I picked up a number of these Koonunga Hills from the late 90s cheap in an online auction a while ago. The other bottle of this vintage was too far gone, smelled like hay and tasted like sultanas. This bottle had none of that. Good colour, subtle berry. It definitely needed some air. Very surprising.

Pretty amazing for a wine like this. But you do have to keep it this long to get it good.

These are undrinkable young. 20 years and it's a great wine for the price.
