Given to me as a gift. Then forgotten in my storage bin stored at room temperature. i was surprised to find it an excellent wine when I drank it today. Cork broke and I strained it due to the cork breaking. I was expecting a thin 75% merlot 25% cab. I was surprised to find it deep dark and smooth. Ya never know till you open it

I was expecting this wine to be past its drinking window, but this bottle was still quite good. Nose doesn’t show much and is a little musky. But it tastes fine with red cherry, plum, cranberry, faint strawberry up front, followed by lots of earth and herbs like sage and English thyme. Finish is mostly terroir-mix of earthy goodness and garden savory herbs along with sour cherry and a slight balsamic note. Slightly astringent on the tongue after a minute. Pretty good wine overall, certainly mature, drink now or next couple of years if cellared properly.

Decanted for a good while but this one is well past it’s prime. Should have had about 4-5 years ago. Giving it an I don’t like simply because I cellared too long

Deep ruby Bouquet Honeysuckle with marzipan with light tar foundation Cigar tobacco mixed in along with some bitterness on tongue. A little short. Decanted only 49 minutes ago. Let’s wait... Opening up with blackberries (and greater astringency?)

Darn fine bottle. Pnp. Dark fruit, oak, earth. Smooth. It's not perfect but it's at a good stage and better than a lot of wine at twice the price.
