  • This is a really delicious and interesting white made with Pinot Noir grapes. The lack of skin contact means that it does not pick up any color from the Pinot Noir. Dry, but with lots of complexity and depth. Seems like it would be really food-friendly. Will need to try again when I can take better notes.

  • has this tonight at Backstreet, thanks Sean Beck. Our most interesting and enjoyable wine of the year, fyi, we had this several months ago and had the same thought. More of an orange, but it gave us a crisp acidity and a full flavor of red fruits in an orange wrapper. Lots of fun,

(Novy Family Winery Blanc de Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley) Is it a white? Is it a red? Befuddle your senses and please your palate with this refreshing and unusual wine, made from Pinot Noir with minimal skin contact. Light bronze with an orange cast in the glass, it offers aromas of wet stone, raspberry, and Rainier cherry. The palate features bright, juicy flavors of raspberry, redcurrant, Rainier cherry, and orange Creamsicle. A faint floral character lingers on the finish. Smooth as silk and easy to drink, thanks to its great acidity and near-perfect balance, this delicious wine may be one of the best current values in the country. 13.9% alcohol. Hot Picks
