Bruno Clair Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 3, Visit 3) (Marsannay): Tasted at the domaine. So big and charming, while simultaneously very powerful. Very long and expanding on its exciting finish. One of the best vintages I can ever recall for this wine, 94+ point potential.

Dégustation au Dom. Bruno Clair (Marsannay-la-Côte): Sans doute le vin le plus fin de la gamme mais pas moins profond, c'est davantage floral, éclatant et le fruit est plus rouge, éthéré et transparent. Long également. Mon favori de la gamme.

Annual Roi Chambertin tasting: 2016 Gevreys from village to grand cru (Espace Chambertin, Bourgogne): Tasted along with Cazetiers, the first the impression is of very much "broader shoulders" and closed in, through to the finish. Has sap indeed. "But oak seems to be winning at this stage," as Michael Apstein said. This should turn out just great, but hard to gauge at this very early stage.
